Do you like this name for a girl?

Helaney...I'm not sure of the spelling yet. I have a son named Hayden and I am TTC. The f/m name would be Helaney Morgan or Helaney Paige.

The only suggestions I need are girl names that start with H. The only others I like are Hope and Harper.

It looks like a mix between Haley, Delaney and Helen. Stick with one of those, not a mix.

By now you've pretty well discovered most people don't care for the name Helaney. I'm one of them. Hope is also a bad choice, as I've read where it becomes something she has to live up to..as in hope for this, hope for that. Harper I love, but as a boy's name. You have many suggestions that I totally go with, so won't repeat. My first thought was Hilary Paige (tho I despise the woman), but others have that name also, and IF she becomes president (ewww), your daughter would be one of many to have that 'popular' name in the next year or two. Keep it simple so she can write it and teachers will know how to pronounce it. Congrats and good luck!

    Hannah Morgan <> Harmony Paige

    Harley Morgan <> Halley Morgan

    Haley Morgan <> Heather Paige

    Hilary Paige <> Halia Paige

    Halona Morhan <>

Pretty hard to find girl names that begin with the letter 'H' but this is what I could find for you.

    Congrats

I'm not crazy about Helaney - it's kind of awkward but you're the mom. There are plenty of other H names if you're really interested, but Hope, Harper, Helen, Hayley, Hannah, Harmony, Haven, Heidi, Hermia, Hilary, Holly, Honour, Hunter and Hyacinth are pretty good options. Some of these names I favor more than others for a variety of reasons: Hyacinth was to be my daughter's name, but she was born on Christmas - so her name is Carol. Hermia and Helena are favorites because they're the names of the female main characters in Shakespeare's _Midsummer Night's Dream_.

  • First off, congratulations!!! I like Helaney and I like the spelling as it is, it makes it more girly. And I also like Paige for the middle name, it rolls together better. And there are to many Hope's out there and Harper to me sounds more like a boy. But whatever you chose will be beautiful.

I don't like Helaney- it sounds so made up. How about Helena?

    I do like Harper, though.

Other ideas: Hannah (though popular), Hillary, Hollie/Holly, Halle, Holland, Hollis, Heather

I like Helaney alot! It's one I have never heard before, but it doesn't sound like alot of those made up names sound, trashy, no offense meant to anyone. I also really like Harper.

I have a friend her named her daughter Hadley, just as another suggestion, but I would definitely stick with Helaney.
