Considering President Bush does not drink, would you be more inclined to vote for someone who occassionally had a few beers?

Bush would be better if he DID drink

He had a drinking problem in the past that he has admitted to. It doesn't matter to me if the president has the occasional drink or not. I would be concerned that the best interest of the country be put before any obsession the president has with drinking the occasional beer. Even though the president has admitted to have had a drinking problem in the past, I don't think he has the countries best interest in mind by a long shot.

Bush is a admitted alcoholic with relapse behavior right now. I wouldn't bank on George Bush not drinking right now. Me personally, I don't trust any body who alters their mind a body with chemicals. They make irrational decisions that harms everyone that they are around, and wont admit to their own behaviors. I would never vote for anyone that drinks or uses drugs. Guess what? I didn't vote for George Bush either times and I am just fine with it too.

As long as they are sober this is really not an issue to me. JFK was highly medicated much of the time. President Bush did not drink because he has a problem in his past. I commend him for doing the job he's doing and sticking to that commitment.

No, it doesn't matter to me at all.

BTW: If Bush isn't drinking, then why is Laura staying at posh hotels in DC instead of the White House? Her secret service detail has been spotted (overnight) at several hotels in DC in the last year or so.

I wouldn't be opposed to either alcohol abstinence or a few beers. I don't believe that choosing a beverage is a sign of intelligence.

He doesn't drink because he is an ALCOHOLIC. He was also a drug-user...

I'm not so sure he isn't drinking on the sly. Something is wrong with him; it's hard to believe he acts the way he does because he is just stupid.

Mr. Bush don't do no drinkin' chap!!!

on the other hand, the whole world would breathe easier with an intelligent alcoholic!!!!
