I'm starting high school... But my parents are thinking about college!?

I'm going in to 9th grade but my parents are already getting my college school for me.. I luv the school they choose, but I think that I should get through high school first. What should I do.... I'm 14 and I know what I'm gonna major AND minor in... Is what wierd???

    No, it's not weird to not know you major and minor. I just figured my major out last year and I just graduated from high school. I think you should worry about high school now because you may have a different ideal of what college you want to go to and you may change you mind on what major or minor you want to do.

    Well, you are either very determined about your future or not involved enough. This is your life and if you let your parents make important decisions like what college you are going to you may regret it and you may hold it against them in the long run. Try to focus on high school now and forget college especially majors/minors until you are least a Sophomore. Just do well and make friends. High school is a short and amazing time in your life. Live your life for each day otherwise you will miss it.

    There is plenty of time to stress about college and career later.

    Actually it is now that you are in high school you need to pick courses that will prep you for your college courses. If you take math courses in high school and want to study to be a biologist in college, your high school course won't help you much in college.
