Does late payment on credit card affect credit right away?
I have a credit card with Bank of America, I thought I already made a payment but when I checked online I have a past due.
When I found out I paid right away. It was supposedly due on 3rd of the month, I made the payment about 10 days late, but can it still show up on my credit report as being late?
any ideas would appreciated.

Unless you make your payment 30, some companies 31 days late it will NOT show up on your credit card rating and not affect it. With most companies you have a 10 day grace period to pay anyways. The only person that will know it was late is you and the actual card company. But it won't affect your credit in any way.

Yes, it will probably show up on your credit report. Credit card companies are not very forgiving with late payments...this is where they make their money, not only on interest, but late payment charges. Thes best thing you could do is call the card company and see if you can get the fee or late payment mark reversed.
Again, it will probably show up on your credit report, but it probably won't affect your actual score all that much. Just try to make your payments on time from now on. If a bank (or someone else) is looking at your credit report and sees only one late payment among many on time payments, I doubt it will affect you.

You have to be more than 30 days late for it to show up on your credit report and most credit bureau companies can be 2 months behind on their reporting. Credit card companies do not have a grace period which allows them to charge you a late fee if you are one day late. Car loans, mortgage payments, installment loans all usually have around a 10 day grace period. This means they do not even consider you late till after that time frame.

It depends on the lender.
Most Lenders have a non-reporting grace period of 3-15 days, in which if you occassionally are late by a few days it will not be reported to the credit agencies at all.
As far as reporting, it normally take 30-60 days for a late payment to show up on your credit history. This is because most lenders report information to the credit bureaus monthly.

Call your credit card to see what their grace period is. If it's late, they will normally report it within the month.

Yep, but I wouldnt worry about it too much if you have never been later before.
