Camping in Sacramento Area?

I'm looking for a good place to take my daughter (3 years old) camping. I want to keep it around $15-$20 a night, would like it to be a pretty easy drive (close to a highway if possible) so we can drive home at night if needed. I don't care about having plumbing but near a peaceful body of water with shore might be fun. If you missed it in the title I'm in the Sacramento area and want to keep the drive to no much more then 1 hour.

There alot of campgrounds on the Sacromento delta. If you like bigger camp grounds with electricity and such there is a KOA camp ground in Lodi that is nice but very crowded, especially during holidays. If you like a smaller more peacful campground there is a camp ground called Westgate landing. It has about 20 sites and it is right really close to the water edge. It is also in Lodi just out of Rio Vista. The fishing at the camp ground is great and it isn't very crowded. Its $15 a night reservation taken but not madatory and has picnic tables surronded by grass. It also has a boat dock where you can leave you boat over night. It would be my best choice for camping in the area, especially for kids. Its fun, peacful and great for kids. There is alot of campgrounds in the Delta area however and you can find them on google. Good luck, and have fun! The number for West Gate Campgound is 209-953-8801.
