Anyone know if a small propane tank can be used to power an above ground (18 foot round) pool heater?

Or do I need to get a bigger propane tank installed? And if that is true what would be the minimum size tank? Anyone know how much the initial install cost would be? thanks

It depends on the BTU rating of the heater vs. the btu potential of the amount of propane. It may heat it but it probably wont last too long. I would see what the local pool supply guy says

You need to make sure your heater is set up for propane first. Most pool heaters are set up for natural gas only, running propane in it would be dangerous.

IT DEPENDS ON HOW "SMALL"YOUR TANK IS! THE SMALLER THE TANK THE MORE TIME YOU HAVE GOT TO CHANGE IT OUT.IF YOU BUY LARGE QUANTITIES OF GAS, SOME WHOLESALERS WILL BRING IN A BULK TANK AND SET IT UP FOR YOU, ASK AROUND.

IT WORKED FOR SOME FRIENDS OF MINE,AND WHEN YOU ARE DONE WITH IT THEY WILL PICK IT BACK UP, AGAIN ASK IN YOUR AREA.

    GOOD SOAKIN' THIS YEAR!!!!!!!!!
