Homocebrin vitamin syrup in 1950's -- Does anyone remember this?

I am wondering if anyone remembers this vitamin syrup. If so, do you know who manufactured it and/or what the ingredients were, especially any food coloring? In the 50's, analine dyes were often used in food coloring, especially the color yellow. Does anyone know if analine was an ingredient?

Would love to be able to get it again! I had few colds and enjoyed better health than anyone through junior high school. I won t say it was all because of Homocebrin, BUT I have learned that, at least for me, liquid medicines/vitamins have a greater affect on me than pills. My guess is that between the faster absorption thru the gums, less digestive action in the stomach, and absorption going down, well it seems that common sense would show the benefits of liquid.

I remember this very well! I had to take it everyday because (1) I couldn't swallow pills) and (2) I just had rhematic fever and had to take it. Wouldn't say I loved it but it was better that chewing pills! What a memory!

My grammar school teacher recommended it to mom since I kept getting bronchitis. This was in the mid 1980s and it was hard to find then. But I remember it came in a big bottle and it tasted really good. I actually still remember the taste and aftertaste.

But after taking it for a while I remember not getting sick anymore. That stuff was liquid gold. Gonna look for it for my kids but I m a little skeptical of the ingredients they used back them compared to now. Will still look for it.

I remember taking this as well in the late 50's, and remembered how good it tasted as a small kid! We were always healthy!

I remember it well-I called it "Sunshine" and would ask my mother "When is it time for my Sunshine?"

I also remember sneaking extra right from the bottle sometimes-afraid of being caught. Maybe that's why I'm

so healthy at the age of 70. (My Mom is 98 and still living!)

Yes! We lived in Ohio, and always got it in the wintertime. Loved the taste of it! It did seem like liquid sunshine.

Homocebrin, the liquid vitamin my mom used to give me as a child. I couldn't wait for it. It was actually something that tasted good.

Yes I remember taking it. Loved the taste. It was made by Eli Lily. My Dad worked there and we got it free.

Do they still make the stuff? I'd like to get some more of it.
