Does anyone else Vince's McMahon's fake death is in really bad taste?
I don't watch wrestling anymore, but I used to about five years ago, and I was watching a movie on USA when the commercial claiming that Vince McMahon was dead and showing his limo exploding. Because I used to be such a big fan, I had to check it out online, and when I realized it was all fake, I got so angry! I know wrestling is fake, believe me, and I know they have their storylines but isn't this in awful taste? Considering how many wrestlers have died in the ring and from physical injuries, I just think it's wrong to do this. They have little memorials for him all over the place with 2007 being the year of his death. That's just stupid. That's like asking to be killed now....I just think this is like playing with fire, and I think claiming someone is dead is a horrible way to get ratings.
As for those of you who say that it's entertainment and all shows and movies do it, you're right, but.... in a movie when someone dies it doesn't broadcast it around on the internet and show memorials to their character that died...I just think it's tacky to think faking death is entertainment, and if you think it's entertaining too then you're sick.

i know that its so sick to fake death to get better ratings.
especially when a hall of famer just died 2 days ago. she REALLY died and she was only 49. her name was "sensational" sherri martel.
its sad that all of the focus is going to vince, and he is not even dead. and someone who REALLY died, doesnt get recognized.
very sad. and very wrong.

Hmmm, an entertainment industry used death to move along a plot line, and this is in bad taste. So, when Boone and Shannon died on the TV show Lost, this was in bad taste? When Bambi's mom dies, this is in bad taste? When Buffy dies twice, this is in bad taste. Death is a part of life, that wrestling felt the need to kill of a central character in order further a plot line is not bad taste.

It is done in a really bad taste. Most of the kids think WWE is for real then they see someone being murdered live on national TV (yeah someone might argue that WWE is fake and it is a soap opera for men and kids see murder in other tv episodes or cartoons) but the argument here is that at least these kids know that tv episodes and cartoons are not real while they could have trauma seeing someone die on TV and think that it is real

I agree with you i think you shouldn't fake your deaf to get better ratings and all the people that die an that ring that's just wrong.
I think we should talk more because you know wrestling is fake an every one else thinks it real i try to tell them but they say that is real so i don't care what they think about it, but i,m glad that we got the chance to talk about this if you have any more questions ask me at dwaynedaviswrestling@yahoo.

Yes. But at the same time I think it is good. It is time to finally shake things up and get some new storylines in, you know???
I was getting bored with the same old John Cena Crap....Vince may have no boundaries but he does what is best for the business.

well not only is it in bad taste but if it WAS real, it would have been ALL over the news media, i mean CNN,MSNBC, and others would have covered it, it really is awful that it happened but, I really think that Vince is really not dead because if he was was the WWE would go down hill very fast , loose ratings very quickly.

Its an interesting storyline unlucky Sensational Sheri died at the same time because its taken the attention away from mourning her.

i think of faking his death develop right into a foul tale. I do think of if he might have say, lost his reminiscence, which may be worse. think of approximately it. right here is the Commander of the WWE, between the richest men respiratory, and he has no clue of his existence. That way, all the wrestlers ought to communicate to him, in amazement and scratch their heads questioning. the story line that could have developed, might have saved followers on the sting of their seats for weeks. i think of it could have been extra exciting, than a funeral procession. stable question, chum. Peace!
