How many of you road bike guys are AMA members ?
I know most of us that go racing dirt bikes are members and the magazine has a bunch of road-relevant stuff. Just wondering are you or aren't you members. When you see the AMA sticker on my car do you feel better that I'm being careful around you guys ?

Denver just passed a law that all motorcycles made after 1982 must have the original unmodified factory exhaust, or face a $500 fine. The AMA is working to overturn that law as they did in New Mexico. Stating it was unlawful to target only motorcycles and not cars and trucks. Without the AMA, the lawmakers would run rampant and ban motorcycles from public roads altogether. Join the AMA to protect your rights.

I am a "road bike guy" and have been a member for 27 years. I don't pay dues any longer because at 25 years I automatically became a life member. Every rider, dirt or road, should be a member. They speak for us when state and federal officials consider legislation that impacts us. Without the AMA riding a bike would be a lot different than it is, and not in a good way.

I'm a member who has used my membership to get discounts at motels while on road trips. The AMA also helps us riders when the non-riders try to pass laws against our interests. I always like seeing any bumper sticker that shows some people actually look for us two wheelers. I'll keep an eye out for you, too.

Frank physique length the two a 20 inch or 50 to fifty two cm street physique... based upon inseam. be constructive to do a stand over attempt... you're able to have a a million inch area between the relatives jewles and the suited bar. in case you're tea bagging it you acquire too huge of a physique :-) Your bike challenge is particularly the stressful challenge. as quickly as you're saying bike trails, and prolonged rides with the '%.' it form of feels to be a small conflict. One is a racing bike, the different is a hybrid. in case you're extremely going to holiday trails... a hybrid is the only option. a real 'racer' is in simple terms good on pavement and urban. That being reported, the hybrid isn't the perfect for actual long rides or optimal velocity. so which you're able to make a style, or get 2 motorcycles! stay with a high quality bike made via Trek, extremely expert, Cannondale, or vast. You gained;t pass incorrect. the malls that sell those motorcycles will do all the setting up for you, and alter out bars and stems to spectacular meet your standards. So make certain your actual using needs. On the two bike you have better than sufficient $'s to yet a high quality bike. you will finally end up with an aluminum or carbon physique. the two are spectacular physique materials... and are stiff useful rides. The triple chain ring will come without delay with the hybrid. you will possibly be able to or will possibly no longer have an option on the 'racer'. via fact of your leg power, and the recent 10 and 11 velocity rear cogs, the triple isn't needed on the drop bar bike. The hybrids will incorporate upright sitting, wider gentle street tires (probable 26 inch) the 'racer' will incorporate drop bars and 7-hundred cm wheels. there is not any actual thoughts of switching them out with out paying huge $'s. the two might have street gearing. The hybrid with a triple crank, the 'racer' might incorporate the two a double or triple.... based on the type. think of it over. pass and talk it with the community bike shops. Demo the quite a few type bike(s)... yet maximum critically come to words with your using needs. which will make certain your new holiday. How approximately paying for a 'racer', and proceed to apply your dads bike for the course rides? that could accomplish the two one in each of your objectives! Soccerref

I am an AMA member, cause, well, ya gotta be for some races.
When I see the sticker on your car? I do not feel any safer. :( sorry. it could have been the sticker from the past owner.
I treat all cars as loaded guns. you assume they will go off, and plan the safest path of escape.
