Would there be less crime if we deported all illegal Cubans and Mexicans and completely shut the borders down?

Short answer: YES!!!

The very nature of getting here"illegally" makes the act a crime, therefore there are two ways to reduce this crime. We could take control of our borders or we could pass a law that says anyone that gets here is now legal. Problem solved!

Oh, yes for all of you out there, to include the President of the United States, Mr. Bush, that say it is impossible to deport 12 to 20 million illegals, my I ask one quick question: Then how did they get here?

There would be less crime, no doubt. Crime rates by illegals are ridiculous. From entering illegally, theft of welfare services, destruction of property of their landlords, to violent crimes.

It would open jobs for Americans. It may force some employers to raise wages for Americans.

Hospitals could lower costs and stop charging higher amonts to cover what they are forced to spend on illegals now. They cannot turn them away now. Cannot bill them. The costs get passed on to Americans.

It's time to put a LID on it. Locate Illegals, Deport.

Yes, a large majority of crime is committed by illegals and it would create many needed jobs for Americans.

I see things drastically improving if we deport and close the borders.

If all minorities were to be deported then white people would continue to smoke crack and then would be forced to work at the jobs they had adequate replacements for prior to deportation.

It would be sad because even if interest rates go down the spending would only be on crack and as a result the economy would be bad. Since Barack rhymes with crack it should only be fitting that Obama would be president of our once great nation.

Years of deplorable conditions would go by and upon running for re-election on the once nascent immigration ticket Bcrack Obama would be re-elected. His first official act would be to throw all you eurocracksmokers back to 1776 land were the euro could fund your demise though the end of an ecstasy high.

There would definitely be an increase in the number of jobs. What kind of jobs, you ask? Jobs in the US military, as deporting 12 million people will surely result in violent civil war in Mexico and the United States would have to get involved as the Mexican goverment would collapse leaving only anarchy and death as the legacy of the stupidity of people who look for the quick fix.

There might be less crime because of there being less people, not because of the certain type of people. More jobs, I don't know.

Healthcare costs will keep going on regardless...we just won't have as many people using health services without paying for them. This is because of the increasing number of overweight people and the huge percentage of overweight children. Also, insurance companies are not paying for many things they used to but premiums have/will continue to skyrocket. This equals less people having insurance, not paying bills, and costs still continuing to go up to compensate.

It is hard to say if it will be better or worse....but the taxpayers dollars used for government and state incentive hand outs will go down or remain the same instead of increasing.

Navywife: Well I guess what would happen if all illegals were deported, the business owners would have to increase pay and then Americans would make more money doing the same jobs the ILLEGALS were doing...so I guess the americans would benefit???..Dont you see its a vicious cycle...they pay for cheap labor and if there wasnt cheap labor they would have to pay more.......

I don't really think we would have less crime and yes it would make more jobs for Americans but guess what do you think a lazy *** American is going to go pick fruit off of a tree for 50 cents an hour in the hot Texas weather I think not that's why some people don't want them to be deported. And Canadians yea Canada has a low rate of crime compared to the US. There is more crime in Detroit then there is all of Canada. But i think that is should be required that they speak English so that we don't have to change because they are language lazy..... AND the borders should be close no more we cant keep helping them and not helping our own people.
