Can you name a weird food?

By weird, I mean something with a cool or interesting name, like "haggis" or "escargot". A name that definitely comes from a specific place (like haggis, Scotland, and escargot, France.)

And also, if you would please describe it. If I've never heard of it before (which is probably going to be the case) it would be nice if you could tell me what it is.

    "Balot"

    -a Filipino food where in a undeveloped chick's egg is steamed then dipped in a little amount of salt or vinegar for added flavor

    I always liked the sound of "Bangers and mash" even though I think it's British and I am sorry to say I have no idea of what it is. But just say it "Bangers and Mash" what a nice ring that has to it.

    Hmmm you must try a yummy New Zealand thing called burger rings, yummy orange rings that taste like burgers. well not really but theyre yummy all the same! apparetnly other countries havent got them.... aww....

    Bubble and squeak ~ an English speciality ~ re-heated potatoes, onion and cabbage - not so mmmmm..

    um..the name is not weird, but the food is. i live in a tropical country and sometimes i see grilled insects on a stick selling on sidewalks. never tried it, and never will!

    Pho...its a vietnamese soup, but in good old America, some white-washed pho places name their restaurants "What the pho?" and "pho-king." e
