Compare--who do you have more sympathy for? They both want a 'better life.'?

Person one: Illegal who came here but could not do so the correct way because they had some questionable issues on their background and they did not feel like waiting 1 or 2 years in order to get here. So they cross the border and go through god knows what to get here. They won't learn english but demand rights to 'a better life.' This person gets caught while driving (with no license, or a fake license, no insurance). Cops in some states are not allowed to question a person about their legal status, so this person is excused.

Person two: Was abused as a child and kicked out of the house at 16, could not graduate high school and can't find a job because of that. So now they are homeless and can't get a break. Person goes into a grocery store and steals some food, then puts it in their pocket and gets caught. Person is arrested and sent to jail for 30 days and no one is there to get them out. Then re-jailed upon court date because no money there to pay fines.

I sympathize with #2

Update:

Person one is an illegal.

Person two is a citizen born here, parents born here.

Here in lies the problems with the laws,

the police can not ask a criminal about his legal status

yet he has already commited a crime by coming here

illegally, then commits a violation by driving without a

drivers license or fake license, probably does not have

insurance, and he gets off scott free.

Person #2 is a victim of society and should have been

collecting state aid, at the age of 16 his parents should

have been charged for allowing their child to run free

and for abuse. Stealing is not an answer to getting help

but he should be contacting the county offices to get

assistance and job training. If he is still a minor then he

needs to turn his parents in so that they can pay for his

    support.

I sympathize with #2, I have no problem paying taxes to

support those that need it and to help them get on their

feet. The illegals need to be handcuffed and thrown back

to wherever it is they came from.

To the one that said Hey Pendjo boys, isn't that repetitive?

being that pendjo is already in the masculine form?

    I sympathize more with #3.

Person three: Is smart, pursuing a graduate degree, is fluent in English, is working and paying taxes, has a green card and is vocally pro-USA and grateful for the opportunity to become a citizen of the new nation they love and honor.

However, faces being placed at the back of the line if shamnesty passes even though every second here has been spent legally.

Of your choices, number 2. However, a person can always get a GED. 16 year olds can be taken into shelters and clothed, fed, educated. Ask the court for assistance.

Person one is abusing our welfare system and taking aid that should be used for people like person 2. No sympathy there.

I'd have to go with number 1. I'm sorry but I don't have any sympathy toward a person who makes excuses not to work. The fact that the citizen didn't graduate high school and couldn't find a job is bull. Mexicans sometimes only make it to 6th grade and they come here and find all sorts of jobs that "americans don't want". Those are the jobs that #2 should have been doing instead of stealing from a store. Not learning English isn't a crime. I have more sympathy toward someone that does everything in their power to work hard in their life.

#2 was abused as a child.. he/ she has my sympathy

#1 could at least learn some english first, find a job and earn a little money, get a passport and come here.

but #2 can also work in those unskilled type of jobs, get some cash and study part time

he/ she may not necessarily go to high school, just take a short course to study computer or make up skills etc etc

i hope these 2 people are not real, im worried for them

I dont have sympathy for either one.

But if I had to pick it would be 1.

#2 is just a slacker. Couldnt graduate...or didnt want to graduate? Being out of the house at 16 doesnt mean you cant stay in school and get an education holding the opinion that if you did you could make a better situation for yourself.

Been on my own since 16.Worked at McDonald's,finished school, never had to steal, got married, had kids{a ton]worked while raising them and went back to school for my Nursing degree, now I own 50% of a business and still work at the hospital. No sympathy for #2 America is a land of opportunity for those who get off their butts, quit whining that mommy and daddy were bad and grasp life by the horns.

To somewhat quote you "Don't make excuses for your stand on immigration the law is the law"

I want a better life. Can I hide in Bill Gates closet for x amount of time after being abused as a child and kicked out of school and will never have what he has, then demand he leave and if not he's racist?

Source(s): not to mention pay for my expenses after he moves out... My HMO denied me a life saving operation. Can I do the same with a hospital so I can live? Does it matter where the hospital is or what country? Can I do this with orphan drugs to get a better life? When did you decide that life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness has no meaning for the rest of us? Why not legalize slavery in Mexico and move there so they can have a better life? While were at it, while haven't you given me all your money or satisfied all my sexual desires yet? Or to an illegal??
