What has caused more death and strife in human existence ?

Organized religion has by far caused more strife in human existence. Wars are fought because of religion, the Crusades, Jihad, people suffer because of religion, children molested because of religion(priests and polygamist sects), twin towers falling because of religious zealots, Spanish Inquistion, Salem Witch Trials, genocide, the list goes on and on.

I think that greed has caused the most death and strife. The rest are convenient excuses.

Pride, Greed, Lust, Glutteny, lack of self-discpline and self-control.

The tools that furthered the cause were political affilation, religious beliefs and group thought...

Up until the American Revolution politics was religion and religion was political.

The Great American Experiment in politics was NOT Democracy, It was the Separation of Church and State.

It now appears to be a failed experiment.
