Mature? He's a great sprinter who can run both the 100 and 200. Asafa doesn't do that much 200m training though and don't run that many races in that event because he's better in the 100m, still he ran 19.90 last year with only two 200m races. It's really up to Asafa what he wants to do. He has all the tools to be amazing in the 200m.

I believe Shawn Crawford has seen his best days, he's getting older and I don't think he has what it takes to be among the very best anymore (I hope I'm wrong). Since 2005 he has had some problems and has not really been the same, In 2005 and part of 2006 he was injured and it's difficult to comeback when you've been in the game a long time and you're getting older. It's also been a lot of rumors during his career that he doesn't like to train all that much.

Shawn Crawford is supertalented and I hope he still has something left in the tank because when he's at his very best he's definitely a great sprinter.

The reason there are different races is because people have different abilities. If everyone could run with the same ability in every race then we would only need one race. Just because Powell is the best 100 meter sprinter does not mean he can be the best 200 meter runner. Michael Johnson was the best 200 meter runner, but was not in the top 10 among 100 meter runners. As far as what is happening to Shawn Crawford, there are a lot of good 200 meter runners in the U.S. now. We will have to wait and see who is the best at the end of the season.

Asafa is doing just fine in the 100, give him a break, he's winning pretty much every race he races

Shawn Crawford, probably just taking a break, you can't expect all champions to win every single race
