if you were able to capture a person's fart, would you be able to detect traces of DNA???

    No farts are methylmercaptains and methane and other gases. If we ate the same meal my fart may well be identical to yours if we digest things the same.

    This is extremely unlikely, as DNA is only carried in cells, and none of the cells would probably be contained in a fart.
