what do i need to know about breeding papillons?
I have a 4 pound male papillon that is tri-colored and is absolutely bueatiful. I would like to breed him but do I need to breed him with another tri or can I breed him with a red and white the get tri colored pups? what breeding combo would give me the prettiest pups? Should I stud him out and what are the problems with having a stud dog?

You should make sure to check him for genetic diseases and the female for genetic diseases, and make sure he's breed standards, and wins a competition to actually show he's worthy to breed with.

your reasoning for breeding is not a good enough reason to breed.. Yes We can all relate to having a dog who is absolutely beautiful but... that is not a reason to breed. You should be breeding to better the breed otherwise there is no sence in breeding. Is your dog registered? testing done? ofa'd? if you should decide to stud him out anyways, make sure the ***** is also tested to have your male stay healthy..

Here is a link to responsible dog breeding. Please don't jump into this. It's not a matter of which dog makes a prettier pup it's about breeding to make a healthier pup.
