Pioneer DEH P6700MP?

Ok, I finally bite the bullet and purchased one of these(refurb. models) for installation in my newly acquried 04 Silverado. That, still has the factroy CD player(w/ the factory speakers) in it as of now.

So, while I have alill time on my hand before it arrives. I'd like to run it pass you Guys/Gals. For the ones that have had any experience w/ install of the Pioneer h/u's or know of the installation process of one of these in the later model Silverado. Of which, you may know of some of the pros and/or cons of the installation and how I might be able to make the installation go alill smoother.

Btw, I haven't gotten around to checked RPO code. To see just which system my 04 Silverado has got in it from the factory, yet.

Oh yea, I'd like to add the XM module durin the installation. Any suggests and/or comments would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

Update:

Got it for alill over $100. bucks, shipped. B-cuz, I don't really care for the the one knob units. Plus, this h/u should look pretty smooth w/ the carbon fiber trim on the dash in my SSouthern Comfort SSilverado Vindicator SS.

I have one of the DEH P3500 w/ the XM module, in my Camaro Z28 and I like it.

it's a good unit you got i have the same one it's a premier though essentially exactly the same with a 2 year warranty instead of 1 anyhow go get a wiring harness for your vehicle it will make things 100x's easier to solder and tape it out of the vehicle not attached to anything plus it makes install a snap literally since it's a gm you'll need a din adapter kit for your truck too that way it's not flopping around in the dash anyhow once you have that just take your dash appart and install it all like you took it appart just replacing the stock unit as for the xm it plugs right into the back of the unit if you get a pioneer xm tuner and you mount that somewhere under the dash and run a wire for the antenna up the a pillar into the head liner and mount the antenna behind the mirror in the windshield just follow the instructions if you get lost though it should be fairly self explanitory
