I'm trying to download java but that error message keeps popping up and I dont know why or how to fix it.

It says..

"Error 1723. There is a problem with this Windows Installer package. A DLL required for this install to complete could not be run. Contact your support personnel or package vendor."

I did a search and find an answer for this issue w/ a hyperlink. But that link just leads me to webfile.com(whatever that is). It looks like a domain reg. site(see below & this was chosen as the best(only) answer given.

The Better Half and I have be together now for a year plus. I know to some that may not seem like a long time. But, I knew after just two months, this lady was 'The One (& Only)' I had been searching for, for 20yrs. if not my whole life;) Now, I/we have a question as to how give her the (for the lack of a better term) all the power(s) as being my wife, short of getting married. The reason I ask is my life insurance policy. Mainly, including her on(or over) it as well as the other stuff. If you're askin why don't you just get married? Well, I tried that, I did propose to her and she accepted. Then, I went on an assignment to India and when I got home she said the marriage was off, due the not being 'In Love' thing(I looked this up on Yahoo Answers too, my favor reply was being 'In Love' is 'It's said too often that love is a journey rather than a destination. You shouldn't just sit back and expect love to happen to you -- you have to work for it.' Well there's other issues that mix into that discission like my snoring and her bein a lite sleeper, mainly. After she'd told me that I thought I was done for til I got to thinkin hey is the woman I proposed to(and she accepted). She'd not getting off(out of this) that easy. Then, I told her I'm NOT walking away, I'm NOT lettin YOU go just b-cuz you've lost the google eyed feelin for me while I was aboard working for our future. During which time we skype daily sometime more offen then that. So, we've basicly come to living apart, now. But, we still see each other and no one else.

I've tried the free versions of the registry cleaners and as most you already know they are not free. But, it did show I have like 1200 errors. So, I'd like to see if I can't help my speed alill by cleanin it up some!

I've just got my desktop back up and connected to the internet a couple of days ago. After being out of town the half 1 1/2 on a job in La. Now, it seems I've contract this virus/worm. That will not allow my to restore or launch pretty anything. Sooo, my question is there a way to backdoor the login password??? Where I can run an anti-virus program on the desktop.

The main window I keep gettin is 'Application cannot be executed. The file svchost.exe is infected.' Do you want to activate your anti-virus software.' Which is not my software, it's a third party's!

The links may help down the road. But, for now I can't get 'em installed in the 'safe mode'. Which I was finally able to access thru the network log in (F12 button). Anyhoo, once I gained access to the safe mode. I was able to run the McAkee Stinger1001688 and that worked to a degree. Now, I'm running the Stinger program again. Then I'll throw the Spybot and Ad-aware @ it. I know I can access these two programs in the 'safe mode', also.

The desktop has contracted the Agent2 & Cryptor viruses or the combo of the two. I try loadin the malware via the flash drive and it will NOT allow me to ever open the malware much less run it. I've been runnin AVG 8.5 anti-virus several times both in the normal mode and in safe mode and have had no success. Also, have try the restore disable than reinstain it and nothing has worked thus far. HELP!!! PLEASE!!! Thanks in advance, Don

I recently up-graded the operating system on my Compaq Presario 3015us laptop. Now not only do I not have any volume. But, the system is not showing any controls for the volume.

What or how can I do to correct this issue and restore the volume on my laptop???

I just re-installed Microsoft Windowns XP Prof. and I have no volume and/or in my tooltray. What do I need to do to get this resolved??? Everything I've tried so far to get the volume activiated has not worked.

How do I go about installing a link and/or connection to the internet thru the guest login???

I(the admin) have the IE icon on my login and I'm able to access the internet thru my (password protected)login. But, my grand daugther needs her own login/internet connection on the 'guest' login for the time being.

So, how should I go about setting her up w/ an internet connection???

Ok, I finally bite the bullet and purchased one of these(refurb. models) for installation in my newly acquried 04 Silverado. That, still has the factroy CD player(w/ the factory speakers) in it as of now.

So, while I have alill time on my hand before it arrives. I'd like to run it pass you Guys/Gals. For the ones that have had any experience w/ install of the Pioneer h/u's or know of the installation process of one of these in the later model Silverado. Of which, you may know of some of the pros and/or cons of the installation and how I might be able to make the installation go alill smoother.

Btw, I haven't gotten around to checked RPO code. To see just which system my 04 Silverado has got in it from the factory, yet.

Oh yea, I'd like to add the XM module durin the installation. Any suggests and/or comments would be greatly appreciated.
