Is Ryanair a reliable flight operator?

Ryanair www.ryanair.com offers very cheap fares from Frankfurt Hahn to Venice. Just doubt how reliable they are and how safe their aircrafts are. I don't expect any service at this price. Any comments?

They are reliable. They have a very new fleet of aircraft. I have flown Ryanair many times.

They are low cost but they have several ways that they make up the money...

They are very efficient..I believe cabin crew clean the planes..there are minimum frills..if you are one minuet late for check in you have to re-book at a big price..(non internet). Their aircraft generally work hard..ie they go several places each day. They are very punctual hence avoiding excess charges at airports..

they charge for bags and any excess weight...They charge heavily for food and drink on the aircraft...the prices go up for peak travel times...

My wife made an internet booking for use both but forgot her passport was in her maiden name..even though she had our marriage certificate with her they made her re-book the 19 pound flight for 200 something...we had no choice...they will get you too in the end...

They are what they are...if you accept how they operate..(they will eventually get money off you) you can enjoy many cheap reliable flights with them. Do not worry about the quality of the aircraft or the safety.

    Hope this helps...

Ther are perfectly safe, and very reliable with an almost brand new fleet of Boeing 737s.

Of course, they are a no-frills airline, and a point-to-point airline - so NEVER plan a connecting flight without a backup!

At check-in, ask for the upgrade so you can get in the priority boarding queue - then you can get on the plane and choose better seats - or, if taking hand-luggage only, you cna check in online, and get in the priority boarding queue.

Take your own food onboard so you don't have to pay their ridiculous prices for food.

Also, there have been complaints in the past because when Frankfurt Hahn airport is closed due to fog (the Americans built their NATO airbase on a hill prone to fog!) then Ryanair might just fly you to Munich - then it is up to you to get where you're going....

But those issues are rare, and not the fault of Ryanair usually.

I have flown with them dozens of times, all over Europe, and never had a problem.

    Hope that helps

Munich is just a town found at the lake Isar in the south of Bavaria. It's a famous city because of its lovely structure, great culture, and the annual Oktoberfest beer party so if you wish to visit it then here is the place to start hotelbye . Many individuals to Munich are definitely shocked by the grade of the architecture. Although it was heavily ruined by allied bombing during World War II, many of its historical houses have been renewed and the city center seems generally as it did in the late 1800s including: their biggest church, the Frauenkirche, and the famous city hall Neues Rathaus. Among the places you have to see in Munich is Marienplatz. This place has been Munich's central square considering that the city's foundation and until 1807 and was where markets were held, combined with occasional ancient jousting tournament. Furthermore, here you may find: the enormous New Town Hall, the stunning Old Community Hall, the Virgin's Column and the Fish Fountain.

Venice is really a fantastic cliché, more romantic, more lovely and more astonishing than you could expect. Irrespective of just how many pictures or films you may have seen, it's however a jaw-dropping knowledge seeing Venice's canals and palaces for initially and this you'd do with the help of this web site hotelbye . Undoubtedly Venice's best-known church and one of the most simply recognized on the planet is St. Mark's Basilica (Basilica di San Marco). That basilica was originally the Doge's individual chapel, decorated with Byzantine artwork treasures that are part of the booty cut back by Venetian vessels following the drop of Constantinople. The gold-backed mosaic pictures above the doorways on the façade just touch at the mosaic beauty inside, where 4,240 square meters of silver mosaics cover the walls. So, the St. Mark`s Basilica is a place worth visited.

I fly to Venezia often, from Stansted London. Never had a problem. The new airport at Treviso is great, and such an improvement on the old place. Built largley by Ryanair money.

Just think of them as autobusses in the sky.

There has always been a mutter in the gutter that the pilots are under pressure and the planes turn round too fast but they certainly do not stint on the servicing of the aircraft and, so far, have an exceptionally good safety record.

Yes they are reliable but watch out for all the pricing tricks that make their flights look cheaper than the final price you'll pay. I'm glad that you don't expect service as you will not be disappointed. Just regard them as a flying bus operator.

i fly with them all the time. if you read the figures, they are top dog in punctuality, lose something like 1/2000 bags and the cheapest flights anywhere in europe.

in relation to service, the staff are lovely, ok the stuff they are selling is dearer, but like someone else said, if you dont want to pay it, bring your own.

i have never had a delayed flight from them, actually we have been early lots of times, even if its only 10 or 15 minutes.

I've used them several times and they are fine. It is a "no-frills" experience. It seems to me that all the flights were at some ridiculously early time in the morning and once required us sleeping on the floor at Stanstead Airport. But the planes are safe and they get you there on time.

expect, just get on the plane and read your paper, don't ask for food ,drinks etc for it will cost you.also they charge £10 per luggage bag.But it still avery cheap airline compared to the "big boys"and yes the planes are safe, and relieable.
