why do they allow ppl to travel on planes with small children???
ughhhh....this happens all the time..i get suck on a flight with someone who has an obnoxious kid who wont stop cryin..this time i was on a flight frm London to Houston and for 10 hours this kid would not shut up....ughhh....
y wont airlines create like enclosed areas @ the back of the planes where those familes can get their seats so they can be the only ones that have to deal with their annoyin kids, like some churches do...just throw them behind some soundproof glass....

You are going to get all kinds of grief with this question. We both know you can't keep kids off the planes - families have to travel and there is nothing we can do about it.
But that said, I know exactly what you are saying. 14 hours, Taipei to SF with a kid screaming for 13 hours makes for a very long flight. Maybe the headphones will help but having an infant section that is enclosed would be perfect. But I guess there are some safety concerns about that.
Maybe they could put the kids in the hold like they do with dogs... OK, OK, just kidding....

See, you're not the only one who has to travel. I understand it's kind of annoying to have a baby cry during a long flight, but that's just life. Just deal with it, cause they can't forbid children to fly. I do agree that special areas for families would be great for everybody, but you can't say that they shouldn't be there because they need to fly just like you. If you were at the parents' place, I'm sure you wouldn't complain about it. It's not because the kids are mean or anything, but traveling by air is hard for them too, so just try to understand or, like the other answerer said, get headphones.

How can you say that when you used to be a kid. Imagine being cooped up in a stuffy, hot plane for 10 hours not really being able to move around at the age of five. That is frustrating. Thus, I would suggest using those headphones, or listening to an iPod, or something similar.

I know what you mean about annoying ppl. I was stuck in front of 2 grown men who ran their mouths for 13 hours, for one flight, and behind nitwit college students for the other one.
Face it, you don't want an answer to this question, you just want to complain.
Babies cry on planes because they are in pain.
Get over it.

I don't mind the kids, but I mind the parents who bring them without toys or any other distraction, and expect them to sit quietly. I also mind when the child kicks the back of my seat and I, not the parent, ask them to stop.
A doctor told me to alway give a child benadryl before a flight so that the child would sleep and not have earches. I always did it, and my daughter never cried.

I KNOW!!! They should have soundproof glass at restaurants and theaters as well. At least I have the option of leaving either of those. I also can't believe the movies that parents will bring their children to...Get grandma or a sitter!!! London to Houston...I would have lost my mind!

You get what you pay for. If its really that bad, why not fly first class?? Anyone can fly with their kids. Adults are just as annoying as kids can be and sometimes worse.

Why do so many adults forget that they too were once annoying little rugrats, and at some point some stranger had to politely put up with their presence.

-you can always switch seats with someone,
-&& those kids are just bad and bratty, normal 1s don't do that
