Fan Placement Near GPU?
So I got tired of having to hear my PC's fans rev like nuts after hours of playing Halo, so I decided to buy an expansion slot fan to alleviate the situation. I am concerned about the positioning of the fan; since the fan blows air out of the PC, wouldn't it be harmful to have it sucking air from the heatsink?
To illustrate, which of these configurations would allow maximum cooling?
Config A)

Config B)

My PC is currently in configuration B, as I figure that having some space between the graphics card and the fan would be beneficial.
Also, could anyone recommend some GPU heat measuring software? I currently use SIW for system info, but it only detects my hard drive temp. sensors

No, configuration A is what you want. The entire purpose of the fan is to suck the heat from the heatsink and blow it out the back of the system. As for GPU heat, it depends on how old the GPU is. nTune for nVidia cards should work, ATItool for ATI cards.
