Now that it's been blocked, Amnesty is Bush's immigration bill?

It was Kennedy's bill when it had a chance of passing.

Don't get me wrong, Bush supported it enthusiastically and deserves the further loss of aproval. But it was Kennedy and McCain that cobbled it together behind closed doors and introduced it.

Bush has been pushing this idea for years... campaigned on it in the last election, if you were paying attention...

Bush can't introduce a bill himself, if I remember correctly...

I would say his voice was involved in it's particulars... they knew that presidential support could be key... if they could get it through the Senate...

I like President Bush and will still support him, I simply disliked this piece of legislation. Anything Ted Kennedy is in favor of, deserves and second look and then a trash can. McCain probably finished off his bid for the White House with the vote today. Ted K. thought this was his bill didn't he? He looked like he was going to have a stroke this morning screaming on the Senate Floor. I am sure now that all credit for failure will be handed to Bush. It's okay his backbone is strong.

Yeah, I hear ya. McCain should be ashamed of that bill. I can't figure out why Bush thinks buddying up with Kennedy is such a good idea. Does he think sucking up to dems will make them think he's 'cool'? I like Bush but he was totally wrong on this issue.

Make no mistake, I am totally focused on who supported this bilge. McCain can go home, Kennedy can climb in bottle forever, My two senators will be voted out, and President Bush has heard from me in regards to this issue.

Classic liberal media. When it was being sold, it was Kennedy's. As soon as it started to fail, it was immediately pinned on Bush.

When will the American people recognize the slant in the media and stop drinking the Kool-Aid?
