Help!! Something's eating up my garden's...?
My garden's in shambles. I planted flowers, vegetables and herbs. But most of the leaves have been eaten. The flower petals too! It started with a few little holes in the leaves, next thing you know, the only things left are the stems. My local hardware store recommended a liquid a that is mixed with water when attached to the water hose. It says not to use on lettuce and the like. I don't see much difference after I used it. Also, whatever I use has to be safe for the veggies and herbs. Help!

put down ( not on the plants ) Cayenne pepper and this will stop the pest from eating your food, the pepper wont hurt your plants and this Will sting their noses and make their eyes water from the smell, try this and see whats happens, and now there is one more thing you can try that works,
go to the salon and get all the hair you can and put it out on your plants and this will stop the pest from eating your plants too.
trust me these things really work

You could have Japanese beetles. They will eat about anything they can find. My lettuce had little holes eaten out of it. Upon investigation I found Japanese beetles. You can get a Japanese beetle trap at your hardware store or Lowe's or Home depot. You can also get a liquid fruit spray that you mix and spray. Read the directions about eating after spraying. If your not sure ask your landscape store about a fruit spray that you can safely spray your veggies with. I used it for other insects that were eating my cheery tree and it took care of it. They said I could use it on my veggies. Just ask or read the directions.

My first guess would be snails and slugs. Even if you don't see them, it doesn't mean they are not there. They often retreat to shaded areas in the early morning. Inspect the garden area for snails and then put a perimeter line of Deadline granules around the planting bed. If this does not solve the problem, my next suspect would be grasshoppers. I don't know how to kill grasshoppers without stepping on them.

Sounds like a combination of bugs and critters to me. The holes in the leaves would come from possibly snails or some sort of bug. The blooms disappearing sounds like rabbits or woodchucks.

Try mulching your garden. Place saw dust around your plants...this prevents any slugs and snails from eating the leaves as they can't move on it.
