Is it worth it to pay $40 to get a car hand waxed at a car wash place?

If not, then how can I personally do it?

I have a white 2006 Acura RSX by the way.

Any help is appreciated ;]

For me it’s well worth it. If you do it yourself plan on taking a few hours out of your day to get a good hand wax. They do it faster because they do it all day and know how. Take how much you make an hour and multiply that by how long it will take you. I love doing that stuff to my car myself but sometimes it just doesn’t pay to take that much time. They also have the right tools and materials for the job if you use the wrong type of applicator you are going to make things worse

Easy. You'll need a bucket, a hose hooked up to ur house, a lint free rag/cloth/ or speacialty car wash cloth, some car wash soap, and car wax. (Possibly a non-scratch scrub pad) Then, start from the top. Wash one section at a time. Rinse as you go. Go all the way down and hopefully it's a nice warm clear day. Check the fortecast u'll want a few days of nice weather. Let it all dry. (shouldn't take too long the roof might be dry by the time your done with the tires. You could also use tire shine. Then start at the top and wax one section at a time. Just like "Karate Kid" wash/wax in circles... circles. Then wax on, wax off! Read the directions on everything. And have some fun, it's hot... Get wet.

it depends on how much you love your car, because if you are a "neat freak" than yes it is worth paying for or Else your just to cheap. There's nothing wrong with spending a little change on your car you have already payed the whole world for it might as well treat it right.

  • Yes, it's worth it. Most car wash places use top quality stuff that the average car owner cannot, or will not buy.
