The land of Palestine is there a solution to Peace there?
Just in case you are all wondering where Palestine is…here is your directions.
Palestine is where it has always been...a region between the Mediterranean Sea and Jordan River and various adjoining lands. It has also been called the Holy Land, Canaan, and the land of Israel. British Mandate (1920-1948) control put the name Palestine back formally right after the Ottoman Rule. In 1947 when the British could not afford to maintain an adequate Army there the UN took control of Palestine. A big mistake planned and allocated without the approval of the majority living in and around there (Arabs.) And we wonder why there is so much hostile hatred! To me it is obvious.
Following the 1948 Arab-Israeli War, the 1949 Armistice Agreements between Israel and neighboring Arab states eliminated Palestine as a distinct territory. The People of Palestine were sold out by their neighbors. The establishment of Israel remaining lands was divided amongst Egypt, Syria and Jordan...until 1967 War.

The solution will be realized when the Israeli recognize the right of Palestine to exist too. Both nations were created by the UN and Palestine Government was created before Israel by the British and the country was called the Mandate government of Palestine not Israel.

There is no peace without justice and no justice without peace. I think at least one biblical prophet said words to that effect as well as Martin Luther King.
So, for justice all the Palestinians and their descendents who were expelled by force, terror and threat of massacre in 1948 need to be allowed to return, be given their 400+ villages back and compensation for the property destruction plus pain and suffering and back rent. The Palestinians in the occupied territories who have had land confiscated to build settlements need to be given that land back and are also owed back rent. These vast injustices must be rectified.
Of course all the Jews can stay except they may have to move out of the house they are living in if it doesn't belong to them. However, there needs to be a system of justice that is fair to all the parties regardless of religion, discrimination based on religion must be strictly forbidden. This includes killing people because of their religion by both Jews and non-Jews (it must be noted that Zionists have killed the vast number of innocent people in the conflict) which is illegal anyway (or it should be, the Zionists have been known to murder a lot of people with complete impunity). All people should have equal freedom of movement, freedom from torture, complete freedom to speak out in criticism of the government (there should be no prosecution of Azmi Bishara, for example, for stating that Israel should be a state for all its citizens).
This sounds idealistic, but when you think about it, its what peace looks like.

There can't be peace until the Muslim world accepts the right of Israel to exist. This is a necessary condition for any true, lasting peace.
You are right to state that the Palestinians were sold out by their neighbouring Arab nations. Jordan stuck them in refugee camps, and Egypt mined the borders of Gaza when she controlled it, so the refugees couldn't leave.
If only the Arab world had accepted partition in 1948, we wouldn't have any of these problems, and Jews and Muslims would be living in peace.

To Keeping The Faith 1976
I am also a Christian; and as such, it is clear that you faith and interpretation is twisted. I don't recognise the faith you claim to be representing.
Lets be clear here. We are talking about two groups of people.
1. Jews (people who follow the Judaist religion)
2. Zionists (people who forsook their religion for money).
God did not give the land to Jews (a religion). God did not give the land to zionists (invaders who's history is traced back to the khazar tribe of southern Russian. A people who converted to Judaism as a symbol of their independence from Arabs who forced Islam on them) .
God gave the land to people. People who followed many different religions. These people were united in their ethnicity and who today are called Palestinians. A people who have lived in this region since before biblical times. Many of these people were Jews before the Arab invasion and spread of Islam. When zionists talk of Jews being in this land for thousands of years, it is these ethnic Middle Eastern people that were there; not the Eastern Europeans of the Khaza tribe.
Solution to Peace
Remove the warring faction; the invaders i.e. zionists.

If you choose Palestine for semantics instead of for any political reasons, then you should refer to the area as Israel, Gaza and the West Bank (or Israel, Gaza, Judea and Samaria) . That is its current name today, regardless of what the British called it 60+ years ago. Is there a solution for peace there? Yes. It starts with a stable democratically elected Palestinian government that accepts Israel's right to exist, accepts previous agreements and renounces terror, proceeds to the negotiaion table and ends with a peace agreement.

My first question to you is this-are you religious? I am, I am a Christian and I believe that God gave the land to Israel, and I also believe the there will never be a real peace in the middle east until the second coming of Christ. Before that a world leader will arise and there will be a 7 year peace treaty in the middle east, but it will be a pseudo peace and it will only last 3 and a half years, and will lead to all hell on earth. I may sound crazy, but this is all written in the Bible. If you want to find out what to do to avoid all Hell on earth in this time-let me know. i will be glad to tell you.

[satire]The creation of Israel in the midst of its enemies was a key part of the Christian Wests plan to facilitate Armageddon, the final war which will usher in the return of Jesus Christ as prophecied in the Revelation of John.
The Israelis, much to the dismay of the West, keep failing to launch the all-out war against Lebanon, Palestine, Syria, anybody, like God wants them to do.[/satire]

We need to pray, and set the example of showing kindness and compassion for all people. "Kill them with kindness" if you will, for lack of a better term.
