Sealing a cut tree limb on Cherry Tree?
I am going to cut some limbs off, and I need to know what is the best thing to "seal" the ends of the limbs that I cut off.
I am not going to wait til winter time to cut the branches, because they are getting in the way of the house now, and I dont want any limb damage done to the roof, so, I must do this in August, when its really hot, and hopefully it wont hurt my Cherry Tree too much.
I need to know what to buy, and where to buy a sealer for the cut off limb.
Thanks for all who contribute.
I wish you well...

Jesse sealing cut limbs isn't done anymore....seems it causes more damage than good increasing rot, bug infestation ,etc ...Just cut the limb and let nature do the rest good luck from Texas

I have always been told to cut the limbs as close to the trunk as possible and then don't worry about it. The tree will heal itself. After a few years, the bark will grow over the cut. That's what I do with my Oak trees.
