Whatever happened to brotherly love?

Now everytime a man/woman cares for someone of the same sex, or is willing to be friendly enough to share something he/she is considered homosexual.

Whatever happened to that old kind of love when people can love people for pure reasons like friendship, brotherhood (without neccisarily being brothers or sister), and all the other forms of love?

Update:

doomsday_patriot- I think you didn't understand my question. I'm talking about something like a man caring for another man in a friendly or brotherly way.

Relationships from the opposite sex is something totally different.

I don't know whatever happened to it. If you watch the old movies even the heroes weren't afraid to give other men friendly hugs and no one thought, "He's gay." This world has defiled everything innocent. It's very sad.

Many feel it still, but are afraid to show it because of how society will view them. This seems to be especially true for men more than women,as people as a whole are more accepting of a woman being openly affectionate towards other women, but men have a hard enough time being openly affectionate towards women, let alone show affection to a man,it's just not "macho"...lol

    andrew dont be so overarching.

this concept of love for one another still exists. saying christians dont care about some people is like saying all asians are smart or all whites are rich.

    seriously misguided.

this idea that christians hate comes from some that try to tell people their ideas and beliefs in a way that comes off as aggrerssive and hateful.

try not to hold this idea due to a few.

Though many believes what you listed are sins, another basic principle of christianity is to love your neighbor as yourself. not your straight negihbor or your christian neighbor but anybody.

O' people do compete in good deeds and haste in grabbing the good chances. By delaying good deeds , you reduce their value. By gaining victory win the respect and praise of others , and do not let others blame you for being lazy. If one does a favour to another but he does not thank him for it , be sure that God will reward him instead , and surely the God's reward is greater and more generous.

I would like to know too.

I think it still exists for some of us, at least I like to think so. But the golden rule has been revamped by our current society. Instead of "do unto others as you would have them do unto you" it has become "do unto others as they do unto you." This changes the meaning and therefore the outcome.

We would be truly keeping God's commandment if each of us cared for each other first. What a wonderful world that would be.
