What is your favorite beer from your country?

One of my favorites here is Sierra Nevada. Good CA micro-brew.

Scotland has many small breweries around the country and there are many to choose from.

My favourite session beer, when indulging is still Deuchars IPA cask only not keg. Light enough, with plenty of flavour it is a beer that can see you through the night.

My favourite English ale is Abbot from Greene King, wonderful beer and served with a slight chill on it, there are few brews round the globe that could compete.

  • Such a tough question.

Of those I've experienced in my connoisseurship thus far, I would give rank to three Sam Adams' selections (in no particular order): Honey Porter, Brown Ale, and Cream Stout.

If I "have no money" and am "just drinking beer" I'd prefer Yuengling Black & Tans.

Although there are countless excellent microbrews (here in the USA) and many in North Carolina where I was born and raised and continue to inhabit: some in Hickory; Red Oak - Greensboro; Front Street Brewery in Wilmington...

So many good ales to choose from, and so little time to drink them all. The best beer in England is that which comes out of micro-breweries, each one individual and prepared by master brewers. The problem I have in my little corner of England is that there are so many to choose from. Did try one at a beer festival at the weekend that was nectar - Duck's Button from the Vale Brewery in Haddenham, Buckinghamshire. Looking forward to it's mass release soon.

I'm from Wisconsin and I love a beer made at a microbrewery in New Glarus called "Spotted Cow". They make a seasonal beer in the summer which also very good, it's called "Totally Naked".

Honkers ale from Chicago is pretty damn good. Brewed by the Goose Island beer company.
