Left eye almost swollen shut, lots of discharge?
Well, yesterday my eye was leaking a lot of watery discharge, as well as sometimes some really sticky yellowish discharge. Last night, I noticed it was a little swollen, and when I woke up, it is swollen to the point where I can barely open it! The eye itself is quite red as well. I do wear contacts, but I did not wear them yesterday. I would contact an Eye doctor, but they're closed today for the 4th. Also, could this have anything to do with the abdominal cramps/dizziness I've been having for 2 days?
I really don't think it's pinkeye. I've had pinkeye before, and this just feels different. And the swelling is the part that's really freaking me out.

It probably doesn't have anything to do with the cramps, but your eye sounds like it has an infection. (The yellow discharge, swelling and redness)
Try calling around and see if an urgent care type place is open. If not...the ER
Be very careful not to transfer the infection to the other eye! Wash your hands often, and don't go from the infected eye to the other with the same tissue.

I would contact your eye doctor today...many will have an on-call doc for holidays and vacations.
In the meantime, you can try cool compresses to your eye...be diligent in washing your hands to help prevent the spread into the other eye. And keep your contacts out until you are seen by your eye doctor. If your vision becomes affected with loss of vision or double vision, or severe pain, then get to an urgent treatment center (some are open on holidays) or ER.
I doubt that your eye problem would have any connection with abdominal cramping or the dizziness you've been having. That almost sounds like a viral thing I had a couple of weeks ago...same symptoms...abdominal cramping, mild nausea, and dizziness with some mild congestion and cough (lasted about 5 days).

Wow. If you can't see an eye doctor, you should probably call up a regular doctor. The swelling and discharge makes me think that it's infected. I'm not in any position to diagnose you, but Yahoo Health might give you a vague idea of your problem. According to Yahoo Health, the sticky (thick) yellow warrants medical attention.

If I where you I would get myself to emergency as fast as I could. They are opened 24/7. I don't think I would like to go blind in that eye. You could have gotten something in the eye while wearing your contact, when you removed it, it caused an irritation to the eye and now it sounds like it has become infected.
Also while there have them check out your abdominal cramps and dizziness.
But get to the emergency room fast.

Be sure you are not sleeping near an AC unit or vent. A fan can have the same effect on your sinuses which will effect your eyes. A steady flow of cold air will cause your sinuses to swell an become infected. Warm air and steam could give you some relief.

Something similar happened to me.
I used to wear the disposable contacts, but i would not take them out when i was supposed to, i left them in until they started to bother me... this apparently created an ulcer in my eye... when i got to the doctor she prescribed some drops and i was told to remove my contacts for about a month.
You should go to the doctor as soon as possible, after this, i decided an operation was the way to go.
I dunno about the abdominal pains though.

You need to go along Emergency Dept, sounds like you have a nasty infection in your eye.

Call the doctor anyway. They'll usually accept emergency's regardless of the holiday.
