My TV. has attitude in summer. Works great in winter but picture tips to the left in summer. WHY?
tv is about 15 years old. The past 4 years it has had this attitude about summer with the left tip picture. Come cooler weather and TV works great. Do I need to SPANK my naughty TV?

humidity in the summer causes a short (arching) in the (deflection) coils that paint the picture on the screen. That causes the picture not to be square.
it can also cause high voltage arching.
it used to happen with auto ignition coils too.
unless the picture quality is still excellent and it is a large (27+) screen it is probably not worth fixing unless you can DIY for part cost only.

Humidity.
The humid air is getting into your tv and distorting the picture. My old tv used to do that. I hate to say it, but you may want to start thinking about investing in a new tv.
