Toy poodle... I'm can't think of a name...?

I'm getting a white toy poodle in the next couple of weeks that I'm going to be having clipped with the typical poodle cut (poofy head & ears, poof tail, and the little balls around it's feet..everwhere else shaved short), I'm also going to have the poofy spots dyed (organically) black, so I have a black and white poodle. I have a black leather spiked collar for it....

I'm highly into metal (all subgenre's of it) and want something that works with how the dog is going to look and fits with the metalhead lifestyle..also I'm a piercer/apprenticing tattoo artist, so I can't have my wimpy poodle having a wimpy name, lol. And I'm almost positive I'm getting a male, but not sure yet....

Some things I've thought of have been:

Pantera

Burton (for Cliff Burton of Metallica)

Steele (for Peter Steel of T.O.N)

Cephalic (as in Cephalic Carnage)

Twiztid

Vermillion (as in the Slipknot song)

Opinions on the one's I've thought about and suggestions needed!!

Update:

Ha Minnie Me... Hopefully this poodle will have a badass attitude to go with mine, lol...I'm use to having pits and having a "prissy" dog is gonna dog is gonna drive me nuts unless I can make it look like it fits with my lifestyle, lol.

Update 2:

ignore the double "dog is gonna" in the details, lol...I've had a long day and am borderline on being half asleep.

Poodles are often mistaken for 'poofy' dogs but they are far from it. I have a standard b i t c h who regularly runs rabbits down and goes into the sea after seagulls.

I have a standard dog who has a bark on him which scares most visitors who don't know him, until they are introduced to him and realise that he's actually not going to eat their hand off and I have a miniature who is fiesty enough to boss these two standards about and she's half their size.

The 'poofy'clip you refer to is called a continental trim.

As long as you give your poodle plenty of company and treat him right I'm sure he will fit in with your lifestyle.

As far names, how about Leppard, Zeppelin, or Rocky?

    Good luck with him!

First off.....not quite sure how a Poodle can EVER fit into the ''metalhead'' lifestyle. Just seems like the wrong dog breed for that!

Anyways, try to keep the names to 2-3 syllables. The longer the name, the less likely the dog will respond & learn the name quickly. Most likely, if you choose a long name, it'll end up having a nickname.

To fit in with your life, I like the names you have though of ... remember that a dog responds best when their name is 1-2 syllables ... so if its a long name, have a nickname.

here are some other ideas ... no pressure :o) how about: *since a poodle is of french origin*

Noir Blanc : means black and white in French

Damiers: which means checkered ... in French

    Pleymo: a French Nu-Metal band

    Kronos: French heavy metal band

I donno if you'll like any of these, but too many suggestions is better than none huh? My husband and I just got a cocker spaniel puppy and when we first saw her (she is chocolate brown and has the meanest look on her face), we fell in love ... finding a name that fit her was a bit more difficult. Good Luck and enjoy your puppy :o)

I like "Spike". The spiked collar and honestly, who names a toy poodle spike? It may not be the most original dog name, but I think it would be hilarious. Also it rolls off the tongue easily.

I would say I think Pantera would be a good name for her. The other ones don't sound like a name to give a poodle.
