Help! Has anybody seen the new Transformers Movie?

I heard a movie critic talking about it & he said there were at least two very graphic sex scenes in it that he said made it bad enough that he wouldn't allow his 13 year old to go see the movie.

My 12 year old son has been waiting for this for more than a year (I saw first preview on 6/6/06 when I went to see the Omen) . The critic said the violence was pretty graphic as well & way over the top.

If anyone has seen this - please give me your opinion. I don't want to take my son or my 8 yr old daughter if it's that bad.

I don't know why they added sex to it - there wasn't any in the cartoons! Thanks!

No graphic sex, no skin, no nudity.

    Teen age talking issues.

Violence is machine on machine, explosions and such.

One human gets gored but no blood splatter.

There is destruction on the Armageddon level.

All in all a great summer action movie

Hi Pumpkin,I saw it the other night with my friend and though it was good, well made and exciting, and even though there aren't necessarily any actual sex scenes "in motion" ,there is indeed the incinuation and in a "sex pot" girl kind of way...you know, they always have to throw something in there for the particular kind of leaugue that that would appeal to.Ha! I don't remember the masturbation part but since there was so much exctiment I must've missed it and would have to see it for asecond time but I would'nt be surprised if they did throw that in there as well.

I do remember a scene that was both tacky and gross when one of the good guy transformers urinated oil onto this one human bad, butt head guy. The guy was a jerk and may've deserved it but they, the writers, could've thought of something better and more tasteful, which would've made the part look better, more of a "flam",in other words. And like I said before, the movie was fun and interesting and i'm sure the kids would feel and could feel heroic and strong agaisnt bad people and things in thier little minds, and a lot f it was indeed pretty cool, like when the transformers were in the teenage boys' yard and he was trying to hide them form his parents and another part where the car takes off by itself b/c it is a transformer, but the guy did'nt yet knowit. Plus all the awesome technology they have today when they did'nt have it the same in the 80's.

I do see the not so tasteful and trashy things,so- called "adult" scenes, thrown in there that they think they have to gear toward some adults, and adults that were children in the 70's ans 80's when the Transformers were first popular. If they put things in there for the adults, which I think they should indeed do that, then why does it still have to be bad?And children under 10 I think are too young for a few parts in there, atleast the one with the evil transfomer..he scares me...i thought of that when this little 4 year old boy sitting next to me and his mom, whom I never had seen before, clung to me when a few scary parts came on. Again, its not like they were all so terrible but scary enough....and I don't think anyone for that matter should condone porn in movies. Thats what I all it when I see sex being abused..sex is often abused and people sometimes act like animals and its not "cool"! It reminds me of the so called "adult" porn crap thats out there.

Anyhow,I hope this helps! Take care...

Okay, this has been pretty well addressed, but one of the other posters mentioned that masturbation makes an appearance. What happens is that the main protagonist is in his room looking for some stuff and the parents start pounding on the door. Long story short, when he finally opens it, his mom asks him if he was masturbating. His father tells her it's inappropriate, and she tries to defend it. It's quite innocent, and quite funny as well. The closest thing you could get to sex is when two unnamed people are making out on the hood of a certain vehicle at the very end of the movie, fully clothed. This movie is pg-13 for a reason. No excess profanity, no real violence, and nothing risque. Don't worry about the one critic. I have no idea what he's talking about. I will add that is long as heck. If giant robots for 2.5 hours isn't your thing, bring a pillow. Other than that it is good.

Transformers delivered full-force on providing special effects action and having us see how real these robots can get. However, I truly felt the movie lost momentum and I got disconnected when at the midway point we were dealing w/some unnecessary stuff, including: 1. Too much John Tuturro air time. 2. When the movie decided to show us it wasn't taking itself very seriously with some humor, but it was entering overkill very fast. 3. The masturbation talk. How was THAT necessary? This struggles to make the film as family-friendly as some would claim. After that, the movie resumed its greatness and flaunted its greatest strength: the very realistic fighting action between Autobots and Decepticons. In short, we got a dream pizza, perfectly cooked and with perfect toppings, then someone threw a roach on it, in the form of questionable writing. And this movie is really not for kids. Lots of death, and I didn't need to see blood to realize that.

No sex, really. A couple close-ups of a hot teenage girl's clothed body (her stomach is exposed) and a humorous scene where a few characters talk about masturbation. That's about it. Oh, and also a joke about how the boy wants to have sex with the girl.

There is a lot of action, but no blood or anything like that. Lots of machines, buildings, and cars getting smashed up.

Your son should be all right. The flick might be a bit too intense for an 8 year old, though.

No! there was no sex scenes in the movie. There are some parts where thet talk with sexually humored jokes. Most kids should not understand it. There really is no violence because its robot fighting robot. They will show like blood from cuts but nothing bad. There is one part that they use drug humor. but again nothing bad. When i saw the movie there was like 3 rows of just kids. this is a great movie. your 12year old would be fine. he may understand some of the humor but most likely not. and your 8 year old could go but after the movie you should tell her to never again repeat some of the words.

    hope that helped

    sex...there was sex in Transformers???

I saw it on Wednesday with my husband. the movie theater was FILLED with kids. I don't remember any sex. At all. There is a girl that is obviously the love interest of the 'hero' boy - but...i don't even think they kiss until the end. And even then - its not a BIG kiss or anything...

there is violence - but not bloody mauled flesh pealing off kind. its more 'cartoon' violence. things blow up. Building get trashed and crumble. Cars get thrown around and crash into things. Guns go off. Explosions. But...not anything awful.

What movie critic did you see?? Did they even SEE the movie??

There is sexual innuendo, but no "get down and dirty" scenes. I don't think your son would realize the lines in the movie are anything sexual. There IS however and tender makeout scene at the end, but, again, nothing too graphic. Whatever critic said that must've been seeing something that he wanted to, ya know?

The violence was ok too. It wasn't that bad. If anything it was out of "self-defense."

I am gonna wait until Sunday morning to see it. If I was you, I would go see it with someone, then make a decision and take your kids. Sometimes it is the only way to know what is right for them to see. You might get someone here to tell you it was the worst thing ever and it was full of sex and violence, then someone else will tell you it's not that bad. Go see for yourself.

I just watched and it and there was NO sex nor was it TOO much violence... besides the transformers beating the crap out of each other.. The Theater was full of kids and I didn't hear anyone complaining!
