What is the best cover makeup for tattoos?

I am going to be a bridesmaid in my best friend's wedding and I have a horse tattoo on my shoulder. While I LOVE my tattoo, I would really like to cover it so it won't show at all. the dress is halter style so half of my back will be showing. I'm not ever ashamed of my body art, but out of respect for my best friend, and the fact that her family has very conservative sensibilities, I'd just as soon not have it be an issue. If anyone out there has any ideas on the best product, I'd be greatly appreciative! Thanks! By the way, my tattoo is above my left shoulder blade and is about 6 inches in diameter.

Derma Blend cosmetics is the best cover-up makeup on the market and it works great for cover up of tattoos.Remember to get the setting power to set it. It also has a cleansing product formulated to use to take it off .

Derma Blend cosmetics come in several different shades that will fit every completion. Go to your nearest dept. store . You can find it at JCPenney,Dillards,Macy's .Usually it next to Fashion Fair cosmetics or Flori Roberts comestics . It is formulate to fit ever one no matter what your nationality.

I used to work at a place where tattoos were not permitted and I thought it's ok! I'll just cover it up :D It was the hugest pain I never would have imagined! Because I live in Arizona, long sleeves were not always an option. Even the Kat Von D tattoo concealer didn't work. Makeup never fully covers it and is usually all cakey or oily. It's one thing for pictures or a special occassion, but it's not a solution 5 days a week. Plus the quantity you would have to use would get very costly. I ended up having to wear an ace bandage over it, which dried it out so much, it faded terribly and I had to have it touched up. The bright side is, there are enough employers out there that are tolerant now, so I just got another job. So basically, if you want it, go for it, but be prepared to possibly lose some opportunities over it.

Regular concealer isn't enough to cover a tattoo. I have used Color Tration. It covers any tattoo completely (even an all black tattoo) and you can buy a barrier spray to keep the makeup in place until you remove it with alcohol. The website is:

They also sell color match kits for only $14. Good luck!

I second the derma blend. Regular make up concealer doesn't remotely cover dark tattoos. I used derma blend on my tattoo (small serpent on my boob.. but very dark). It covered every speck of the tattoo. Good luck
