It depends on why you started in the first place. If the story is no longer a passion or you don't have the time or don't want to do it again then give your self permission that it is okay and perhaps you can revisit it another time when your life is at a point that allows you to do so.
What might have worked for you five years ago may not be working today. However, I wouldn't throw it out but just keep it as a momento of your time when you were drawing/writing the series.
Are you saying that the tormenting or the guilt of NOT having written more than you like is getting to you?
If it is, then like I said, either make the time or give yourself permission to stop for the time being.
Hope it works out!

Winston Churchill once said, "Never, never, never, give up".
Even if it takes you 5 more years, or 5 more years after that, stick with it. I am a writer/artist as well. Never give up on your dream.
