i understand where you're coming from, the problem is that some stores don't feel that it's worth it to them, to make bigger sizes takes more fabric, which means they either charge more for the clothes, or make less of a profit on the plus size items. if they charge more, i think a lot of customers would complain "how come the size eighteen costs more than the two?," but if they don't charge more then there is more of a potential for them to lose money. there are some stores like the gap, and old navy that have larger sizes, but i think it will take a little while before most stores take the leap, hopefully in the next few years it will happen though!

I am sure that they have store everywhere (I visit there stores in St Augustie Fl) And I LOVE them. I wear a 16-18 and have always been big up top. They have those cute outfits that you see every where in a size two.... But up sized to fit normal people. You will love them!!

You don't mention your area, but Ashley Stewart has younger looking plus-sized non-granny clothes.

Ashley Stewart's has hip clothing for the young plus sized woman.
Source(s): I've lost enough weight to buy clothes from regular size stores but will try their size 14 because their dresses are beautiful. - SubwayGirlLv 41 decade ago
I don't know if you have one in your area, but Fashion bug is reasonably priced and fashionable.
