There is no "cure" for mosquito bites. When a mosquito bites you, it releases saliva into the bite and that is what you are allergic to. I don't think I have ever met someone who was not allergic in some way, you might be more sensitive to the bite which is why it swells up and itches so much. I would suggest taking Benedryl to relieve some of the swelling if you have a lot of bites. There is also Benedryl creme if you only have one or two bites. As always prevention is the best defense so stock up on Deep Woods Off whenever you are going to be outside.

I'm also very sensitive to mosquito bites (actually, all insect bites) and they take about a month to heal. This is the only thing that works for me - Immediately after I get stung:
1) I slap the mosquito dead - never scratch it off when you feel the bite...this was hard for me to get use to doing.
2) Immediately wash it and put rubbing alcohol on it or antibacterial gel...remember, you've got to do this within a few minutes after you get bit.
3) Take a spoon and heat it over a lighter or stove top (since you want to do this quick, you wont have time to heat the spoon in boiling water, so you kind of have to do it "crack-head" style)
4) Tap the spoon to the bite - hold it there longer and longer each time you tap it to your skin (without burning yourself of course). Keep doing this to each bug bite and soon the itch will go away.
You'll need to repeat this each time you can't stand the itch - but no matter what, don't scratch it. This is the only thing that makes my bug bites go away in a few days verses the time it normally would take which is 1-2 months for me!

You cannot cure a mosquito bite but you can reduce the swelling and itchiness - rub the area with the inside of a fresh banana peel, for a couple of minutes. If you have a skin or blood condition that causes further aggravation after a bite - see a doctor. Self medication with drugs should always be avoided.

As a native Minnesotan I've dealt with many a skeeter! Try putting some isyopropal alcohol or peroxide on it to dry it up. Then put on some cortisone cream to sooth the itch. Good Luck!

Yep, allergic, try Benedryl if you can tolerate that (or a sip of kiddie Benedryl if the capsule forms are too much for you).
If you have sinus/allergy issues, the pill taken for that will also help.

My mama always used to say, "prevention is the best medicine"...so, I never allow mosquitoes to bite me. I just kill all of them first. It's easy! Now you try!!
