Pensacola is not as large as any of the other cities you mention. The beaches are beautiful and the winters very short. We only see cooler weather for about 2 months and then it's usually in the 40's and 50's. It's a friendly city and has just enough of everything. It's not a huge fast paced city but it's not a small town either. .Most 3 bedroom, 2 bath homes rent for between $850 - $1200. Purchase price varies but averages about $135,000 - $145,000 for the same size home, These are actual homes on their own lots, not apartments whether renting or buying.. If you choose Pensacola, welcome to Florida.

I know that Boston and San Francisco are very expensive, the cost of living is very very expensive if you are willing to pay $1500 for a studio in SF you will be OK.
I assume that Baltimore is cheaper what to Pensacola the housing is not so expensive they are lot of snow birds living there.
