Taking them for the first time this Saturday. I've been plenty of times before, but not in like 5 years...
Any suggestions?

I suggest you bring annother friend that doesn't like roller coasters because, the five year old is probably not 48 in Tall, and so he/she cannot ride some of the rides your 7 year old would like to ride. If you go there early in the morning before it opens I suggest you go to a ride that you really want to ride first because after that, the lines are going to be pretty long. If you can, you should buy what they call a fast pass. It lets you go in a special, shorter line.
I also recomend a backpack filled with walkie talkies, sunscreen, bugspray, a disposable camera, bandaids, snacks, water bottles, sunglasses, and you might all wear the same color so if someone is lost you can easily remember what color they were wearing, and $20 dollars cash just incase you want to buy a picture that they take of you on a ride. - they only take cash. Make sure you are holding hands through a crowd - I learned that the hard way. Oh yeah - don't encourage running, if they fall its going to be pretty crazy.
Don't pay for a picture with snoopy just tell your kids to go up there and take the picture with your camera.
* WAIT A HALF HOUR AFTER LUNCH BEFORE GOING ON A RIDE!
Most inportantly have fun because if your kids recognize that you aren't having fun, then they won't have fun.
Dont worry , I definately know what I am talking about!
I have 3 girls and I took them to Disney World twice.

I took my 2 girls there when they were 5 and 8. It helps to get to the parks early because it is less crowded and a bit cooler. I also found it helpful to leave the parks around mid afternoon and go back to the hotel for a swim and a snack/rest. Then, you can go back over to the parks later. If you stay at the parks for too long the kids will get tired and over heated. If you're staying at a Disney hotel it is very easy to go back and forth. Lots of drinks and ice cream treats in the parks help too! You'll have a great time!

Be sure to take them to Fantasyland and Mickey's Toon Town, because there's a lot of enjoyable, and fun rides that are a perfect fit for kids.

tips:
eat first (before getting to the park)
get there early
bring snacks to munch on (snacks are pricey there)
give the kids Disney Dollars and let them spend it on their Souvenier.. kids seem to hold out longer if its their own money they are spending!
