How many of us were influenced by Alberto Salazar?

I know that from 92 to 2002 I was deeply influenced, motivated, and challenged by one of the US's great national running success examples. He recently suffered a heart attack because we don't get to pick our genes and said something to the effect of, "How much does my running count?" So, I wonder if we could share what Alberto Salazar has meant to our running careers?

    Him, Pre, Kip and Decker.

    A #1 in my book.

Had the pleasure of meeting him on few occasions and have dinner with him once as well. Great athlete, man, human. He is a down to earth friendly guy with everyone. He doesnt know how much he meant to so many people.

He know his stuff, heck look at Rupp.

Sounds like he is going to be back out at the track next week, from what rumors are saying.

I say take it easy and take a break man, the Big Guy upstairs is telling you that you need one.

I think he ranks right up there with the top influences for me. Pre will always be number 1 though.
