Can you bring a water bottle (or other types of containers) and fill it w/alcohol in a luggage on the plane? This will be luggage that will be checked in, not carry on.

    It depends on whether it is checked or carry-on. Basically, it's okay to carry alcohol in your luggage that is CHECKED, but not in the luggage that is CARRY-ON.

    According to the Transportation Security Administration:

    ALCOHOL

    " Brought from outside the security checkpoint - unless in 3 ounce containers or smaller, carried in a 1 quart (1 liter), plastic zip-top bag.*"

    .... may NOT be in Carry-on luggage

    but it CAN be in your Checked luggage.

    ALCOHOL

    "Bought Inside the security checkpoint* "

    .... may be in your Carry-on luggage

    AND may be in your Checked luggage

    * More than 70 percent alcohol content (140 proof) is prohibited from carry-on and checked luggage. Up to 5 liters of alcohol with alcoholic content between 24 percent and 70 percent are allowed per person as carry-on if bought inside checkpoint.

    As long as it is checked, I don't see why not. I believe you can leave it in it's orginal container. to make sure check it out here;

    call the airlines that you are traveling with and ask them if it okay for you to travel with it. with jet blue they wont let you carry any liquids other than baby formula medications and if I'm not mistaken nothing more than 4oz of liquid
