  • Dealing with the pain of loss of a pet?

I made the painful decision to put my dog to sleep. I will most likely take him to the vet sometime next week. I am doing this to prevent him from suffering the pain of a massive surgery that may not even save him. I love my dog very very much and I've been crying every single day and feel like I am not able to cope with losing him. Has anyone dealt with the pain of losing a pet by putting it to sleep? How do you cope with it? How long did it take you to not feel sad anymore? I've been crying my eyes out every day and don't know how I can get through this. I feel like I will be crying forever! Thanks in advance for all your help.

  • Would you put your pet to sleep?

We have a dog who's had 5 surgeries to remove tumors that keeps growing back in the same place. This time, it grew back but it's internal and it's impacting his ability to deficate. The vet said it will require a big surgery to remove it, where they have to cut through his pelvic bones to get to the tumor. the vet can't gurantee if the tumor will come back, or if it's spread to other parts of his body. It will be a very painful surgery for him. We are thinking of putting him to sleep because we can't bear to see him suffer through an intenseful painful surgery, with a high chance of it growing back. Are we doing the right thing? I feel incredibly sad at losing my precious dog, but I want to do what's best for him. Has anyone gone through similar situations?

  • Anyone bought a new house from the developer directly?

We are in Southern California and saw a home we liked. It's brand new and we don't have a realtor. We like to make an offer. Has anyone been in similar situation? Can you negotiate directly with the developer or must you go through agents? What is a good first offer (how many % off the asking price)?

  • weather in hawaii right now?

This is for those of you who live in Hawaii (either Oahu, Maui, Kauai, or Big Island). I'm taking a trip there today and will hit all 4 islands by next week. I know there's a hurricane there right now, but I want to know what the weather is like, should I still pack shorts and tank tops or jackets and sweaters?

  • Best way to get from airport to hotel in waikiki?

We didn't rent a car or reserve any airport pickup service. What is the best and cheapest way to get from the airport to the hotel in the Waikiki area? Bus is out of the question because I hear there are luggage restrictions. Any tips on saving money will be greatly appreciated.

  • Designer hangbags on line?

They claim to sell for less but are 100& authentic. Are these all scams or are there online stores that actually do sell real designer hangbags? (I'm not talking about Overstock.com or big online retailers. I'm talking about the ones you never hear of,small operations.) But they don't sell them that cheap, only a few hundred off, so some are still in the thousands, or high hundreds. Are they real or are they scamming? If they're fake, how come they don't get in trouble for selling replicas?

  • A shih Tzu that coughs like something is in its throat?

I have a shih tzu and lately he's been coughing like something is caught in his throat, but when he coughs and hacks, it's a dry cough and nothing comes out. Is this normal? I know it's not like he ate something that's stuck in his throat. I want to know from fellow shih tzu owners if they've experienced this and if it's normal and what they did. Thanks.

  • approx cost of ring?

My fiance just proposed to me with a 2 carat round cut that's F color and VS1 clarity. The band is a .5 ct channel set band. I want to know the approx cost of this ring because I really don't want him to spend too much on the ring since we're saving up for a house. We both make a very decent living, but I guess I'm more practical than materialistic since I think the money can be used to buy so many other things than a rock. Any ideas on the cost of this ring?

  • Should I wait for him to marry me?

I've told my boyfriend of 4 years that I want to get married and his response was that he loves me and wants to marry me, but not until he makes some headways in his career or finds that career path that will afford us a better living. He can't give me a definite time scale. Should I continue to wait indefinitely? We're both in our 30's and are madly in love.

  • Does anyone know of a great weekend brunch place in Los Angeles area?

Saturday or Sunday brunch is preferred, and an all-you-can-eat buffet is even better. Somewhere tasty and elegant with a lot of food choices in the greater Los Angeles area.
