ways to block numbers when calling?

I want to block my number from showing on other people's cell phone when I call them using my cell phone. How do I block my number from showing up(I don't what the person to know my cell number)? I know it's something to do with * and 2 digit number....does anyone know how to do this?

Update:

Will the * 67 work on cell phones? when I press *67 on my cell phone, nothing happens, and when I hit *67 then send, it says it's an invalid code.

Do you want to block your number on all of your outgoing calls? If so, most phones have a menu option that allows you to restrict your number. The setting is usually found in settings and then call settings. Some phones allow you to select for the next call only or for all calls. For exact instructions for your particular phone, you can find the manual on-line (many providers have the manual available) or contact your phone provider. If you want to restrict your number on only some of your calls, use the 2 digit code.
