Kids that age just can't slow down sometimes! They've gotten the hang of walking and are trying to figure out running and climbing and jumping... it is completely normal, and there's nothing you can do to stop it. Just try to make sure the areas he runs around in the most are child-proofed as well as possible (something soft over hard corners on the coffee table...)! Good luck!

Probably PERFECTLY NORMAL!!!! My son is 29 months old now and is just starting to stop doing this. He did it from the moment he started walking. It's like I had to walk right beside him at all times with my hands out ready to catch him or keep him from bumping his head on something. I think it must be a boy thing.

    Sounds like my lad.

I'm afraid you have to get used to it. He is just pushing his limits. The only thing you can do is make a safe environment for him, block off certain areas, no exposed sharp corners, let him play on grass etc.

you don't want to stop him from experimenting because its important for him in sports later in to go past his boundries.

Most times it doesn't hurt too much, but I know it breaks your heart when he cries.

    GoodLuck

My daughter has a lot of bruises on her legs, too. I wouldn't worry about it as long as you know he's not being abused. Kids are going to get scraped knees and bruises... it's just the nature of being a kid. But if you feel he bruises too easily I would ask the doctor.

He is prolly just clumsy and it is prolly temporary. I have a 20 month old son and he is always tripping over himself, he is new to walking compared to us. You may want to check ears for equilibrium problems just in case.
