God not answering prayers...?

Maybe God has answered your prayer. Maybe it just wasn't the answer you wanted.

Sometimes by God not answering it means wait or even no. But, it does say that if you seek first the kingdom of heaven all things will be given unto you. Obviously taken in context of the scripture. Another would be to have someone agree with you in prayer. Says where 2 or more gather in prayer there "I Am". The book of Matthew might be a good place to start. Also, by believing what God has done for other people in the bible (and today) he wants to do for you. Says They overcome by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony and also in another place saya faith comes by hearing. Keep pressing in, because usually when we are the most weary is when the breakthrough is near.

I don't know about a bible verse, but I do know that sometimes we have recieved what we asked for in prayer without realizing it. For instance, for a long time I prayed to have a mother figure in my life, an older woman that I could confide in trust and seek support from. A woman did show up in my life like that but she was also very opinionated and pushy and I was forced to set boundaries with her. But I realized that I got what I asked for. Sometimes the answer to our prayers is right in front of our face and we don't see it because it doesn't look exactly how we pictured it. Is it possible that you overlooked your answer or were not clear in what you were asking for? When you pray, visualize too yourself recieving this answer. Actually picture it in your mind with as many detail you can come up with. Four years is a long time, but it is short in the grand scheme of things. be patient. God always sends you what you need for your spiritual journey.

Have you followed the rules of Prayer?

1.) Pray with faith (Hebrews 11:6).

2.) Pray with clean hands and a pure heart (Psalm 24:3-4).

3.) Pray genuine heart-felt prayers, rather than vain repetitions (Matthew 6:7).

4.) Make sure that you are praying to the God revealed in the Holy Scriptures (Exodus 20:3-6).

Sweetie we have to pray for God's will to be done in our lives. Even right before Jesus was taken to be crucified He told the Lord that if He could let that situation pass, but he want on to say not His will but God's will be done. (Matthew 29) Ask God to reveal to you why your prayer hasn't been answered yet. It could be something as simple as it not being time to manifest yet. You should read about Abraham and Sarah, Noah, Esther, etc. These were all people that had a promise from God that took a long time to manifest. Esther had to be prepared to become Queen and yet still for God to use her to deliver the people of Israel. Abraham and Sarah did not have their child promised by God until they were older in age when every one thought it was impossible. Look at Noah. I'm sure every one thought he was crazy for building an ark and there was no rain. For 100 years Noah seemed crazy, maybe even to himself, and then suddenly, it manifested.

Don't be discouraged. God's time is better than ours. He knows when it is the perfect moment to manifest that which you have been asking Him for. Now just do as it says in Psalm 37:4, delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart. Be blessed! :)

Abraham was promised a son. Years and Years went by and he didn't get one. He then took matters into his own hands and much of the strife in the middle east is a result of that lack of faith on his part.

Sometimes, the test comes in us not getting what we pray for and keeping our faith that God will help us and see our need.

I understand your hurt. However, you have to understand that God's ways are higher than our ways. The prayers that we pray very likely will be answered in ways that we will never grasp and in a time outside the time we have allotted for him. Don't lose hope, believe me, God sees you hurt and know exactly what you need and in fact is providing for you in the best way that he can. It is very relieveing to know that he is a perfect God. Well first you need to know what God you are praying to. Is it a God of Idolatry? I ask this question of you so you might understand my view. I am assuming (yes I know how dangerous that can be) that you are speaking of the God of the Bible based on your subtext, and since you asked if there is a Bible verse dealing with this issue you have a passing understanding of using one, and you have it available. THat being said It was necessary so I could address thus issue for you.

Does God have a name? or just a title...? Some have been led to believe that God is a name, but it is not it is only a title because the members of the Sanhedrin court were also referred to as Gods... it was a title devoted to one who was appointed to judge over life or death. So how would God the Creator of the Heavens, and Earth stand out amidst all the Idol and Idle Gods by giving man his name whis has been removed in many translations If you look in the first few pages of your Bible before the story of Genesis even begins there will be a commentary on the Translation and one then you will note is about the Tetragrammaton YHWH or JHVH, because the Hebrew written language has no Vowels the names have been fleshed out to titles that supported Kings, and the feudal system Lord, LORD, or Sovriegn Lord, but still they are only titles, but his name can be pronounced Yahweh, or Jehovah (I prefer the second inturpetation) anyway since he had a name that in the original hebrew text was used about 7000 times you would think he would want us to use it it approaching him in prayer as a close friend, you would not call your close friend hey buddy, so God... Jehovah God wants his name used in his true worship.

True worship there is another issue, Satan has to some degree clouded the issue by obscuring God's Chosen personal name, but if you look at the trials that befel the Ancient Jews, every bad thing, every calamity that EVER befel them was they chose to "limp upon two opinions" seek God, and Satans assistance in whatever form it came in. Baal worship, fornication, and everymanner of spiritual uncleanness. The entire book of lamentations was about Jehovah God's judgement of Israel for its badness. Every Calamity was proceeded by warnings to turn back from the bad behavior... You remember the story of Jonah, and the big fish, do you remember what happened to Ninneveh... nothing because they followed the correction by God, instead of being judged like Sodom, and Gomorrah. This full and calamitous judgement occurs several times for Israel, but also they were once saved from the hands of the Assyrians by an act of God laying low their entire army, but again they were faithful. If you watch the Bible stories, and lok at human history since the last chapter was written you would realize that Jehovah God has always been refining a people to be a personal possession a people who would follow him exclusively, and not the traditions of men...

In his true worship, Christ, and the apostles identified some attributes Such as Christ said they will know you are my disciples for the love among you... then love was given an excellent description in a letter to the Corinthians

As in that scripture in Malachi "thinking upon his name" means using it, so we use his name and show love, but that is not enough because Christ said that "we" need to teach people to do EVERYTHING that he commanded his apostles to do... now you know why Jehovah's Witnesses knock on doors and try to bring light to the truth of God's word.

I know you know that for all the people who are clearly unrighteous, you may know some who are fairly righteous people, but in the eyes of God it is not good enough if you listen to the rules,and ignore the work that his Son died for. Yes Christ died for our sins, but what good is it if everyone around us is drowning in Satans world and we do nothing to save them

If you come to an accurate knowledge of God, and the one he sent his chosen Christ you can begin to understand that the entire Bible is necessary to understand God's purpose. I look forward to hopefully being found meek by God (the original meaning of meek was teachable), so that when the day of God's anger arrives I can be shielded from his eyes. Though much of this answer might seem to not answer your question there is a point in it. And that is to say that God has always expected exclusive devotion, devotion in the manner "He" chose, so expecting God to fit our wants, needs, schedule is not proper, so we must examine if we are following God as "He" wants. As Creator, and Universal Sovriegn he has the right o designate how he is worshipped.

Do not lose hope. It took over 11 years of prayer for my Dad to finally believe. God's timing is perfect. Trust him.

you have to understand, God blesses you when the time is right. Just as well, He may have already answered your prayer, you just havent taken the time to look around and realize it.

God only promises to grant our prayers when we ask according to His will. 1 John 5:14-15 tells us, “This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us - whatever we ask - we know that we have what we asked of Him.”
