Has anyone ever hired a homeless person with a sign "Will work for Food"?

I haven't hired someone, but when I was about nine my mother's science class went on a trip to the Boston Museum of Science and qhile walking back to the parking garage I saw someone with a sign like that. I had like three dollars so I ran back and gave it to him. One of my moms students freaked because she thought I had dropped something and was going to run into the street.

He blessed me and some 40 something old lady and her friend were walking by, she started crying and saying how that was the sweetest thing she'd ever seen.

Yes, I have ... and after I fed him, I gave him 'good pay' for the work he'd done ... and not out of 'charity' but because he was a really 'hard worker' who did an excellent job.
