What is a best friend like?

I share your pain. I moved to a new city six years ago, and though I know a lot of people, I dont really have any friends. I thought I had a best friend up to a month ago, when I was in the hospital, and she didnt even call or visit and I havent heard from her since.

I think nowadays, people are too caught up with their own issues to even bother to listen tosomeone else's life story. That's why there are so many suicides.

You know, to call someone a 'best friend' is a big deal, at least to me it is. I have many many friends but each one is different and there are almost none that I would tell everything to. Some friends of mine are close friends but I wouldn't tell them anything deep. My fiance is a best friend in that we share absolute everything. But for females it is nice to have another female to share things with as well. I really can only think of one that I do tell (probably too much info...lol) everything. It takes a certain bond and connection to be able to comfortably communicate about deep issues and not feel judged by that other person. Once you find a friend like this, it is so very important that you hold on to them. Friends are one of lifes greatest gifts.

A best friend is someone u can rely on. The one person u can tell them something and u know that no one else wil know. Ur best friend and u have some kind of interest in the same things. Its the best thing to have a Best Friend. You may fight and the make up but u know that the person will always be there through the good times and the bad! I wish u luck on this matter!

well a best friend should be someone who like you and is loyal and faithful to your friendship no matter what your flaws and quirks are - kind of like a bf/gf without the intimacy. they will be there for you and help you when needed and you do the same for them. fortunately and unfortunately - my best friend is my bf but he is now in jail for 2.5 yrs. so I have no one while I wait. I have no family and stayed in this state because he asked me to - my job brought me here by the way. so I am stuck in this stupid state with no friends or family. The people I thought were friends turned out to be users and are totally unreliable until they want something - and then you can't get them to stop calling. I get depressed and lonely too. I have tried to find someone to be close friends with, but it always seems they stab me in the back or only want $$$$.

Well I have a best friend.....and to be honest we became friends by being ourselves. We each went to places we liked and finally discovered that we like kind of the same stuff. You cant have a best friend and not have at least a few things in common with them. She is loyal, honest, funny, gets excited over things that makes me happy, she knows me better than anyone in the world. And I wouldn't change her one bit cause sometimes she shows me other perspectives in life when I feel troubled and depressed. A best friend is someone that you accept just the way he/she is.

Well a best friend is perfect in your eyes.They have no flaws.You can tell them everything,they will never judge you or hate you for anything.You never hurt each other,you go trough everything together.Its like its just the 2 of you and then the rest of the world is separate and gone.They are the most important person in your life.And believe me, you love each other so much its unbelievable.You are like soul mates.

My best friend very recently died.I am in pieces and my life has fallen apart.It just shows you don't realize what you have until its gone.

your heart will tell you;; best friend isn't in supermarket or some thing you can buy it for your self isn't someone you meet in the street you like him he is someone ready to share you your pain and your dream you will not feel lonly with him you trust him,,,

when you sleep he sending his soul to protecting you and homing you to.

well i have a best friend and idk how we came best friends. in the begining of skool we didnt even know each other. then like half way through the year we r best friends. and i can tell her anything. we're always there 4 each other. i luv my best friend like a sister.

i have many close friends but none that i could call my bff:( why? b/c i can't open up to ppl like they want me to. each and everyone of my friends knows only a little of wat makes me who i am. not one them knows all of me. makes me sad:( but i'm glad i have them b/c they do cheer me up like bff's r supposed to do and they r there for me, so i consider myself lucky to have them:P my only real bff would be God b/c i tell him everything and he knows me inside and out like no one else knows. and that's comforting:)
