Do you think God tests more than our strength?
We all know that God tests our strength and belief in him, but do you think that he tests our faith that we will do the right thing?
Today, my husband and I were on our way home from work. We see two people with car trouble and we turned off the highway to come under the over-pass and turn around to help. While there, we see a very dirty and distraught homeless woman. We both looked at each other and I said turn around for the homeless woman, the kids with car trouble probably had cell phones anyway. So we turned around and asked her if she needed help. In a hissing voice that just spewed evil, she said "what do you want?". We only wanted to help her. So we hesitantly drove off. As soon as we got home, I ran around like a crazy woman and put together a back pack full of food, a blanket and some toiletries and money and went in search of this woman. For the life of me, I could not find her. It's like she vanished into thin air.
I went over a mile in each direction. This woman was in the country where nobody would pick her up. She was really dirty, her clothes were more than tattered...it now seems surreal, and I'm wondering if she ever existed.
So I question if God was just testing my true intentions. But in doing so, why on earth would he place a person so desolate, that I was capable of helping, and then take her away? It makes no sense.

God comes in mysterious ways and no matter how small a problem like that could be he's always looking at his servants to see what they would do!
And I think it was meant for you to go and see this woman she proably felt thhe Lord there and the devil as always trying to not be defeated but spill mean words, you did the right thing and for that God is proud!!!!

To your basic question I would say "yes" it seems that God would test more than our strength seems capable of handling. I feel this more and more each day, especially with a recent personal issue. An issue of love, care, and touching, and financial matters.
In response to the section of the homeles person I would first say that you should be commended for your attempt at providing service and/or comfort to someone in need. The reality is that when you returned to the location to assist her, then having to search for her you may have missed the point that she may have been sleeping in a nearby field or location away from your view. As a pessimistic observer to your heart felt story I for one do not believe there was any mystery involved - you simply attempted to and unsuccessfully located her on the second go around. That said, you deserve to be complimented again for a matter of the heart.
Good question Holly!

maybe to see if you'd help her in the first place? the fact that you got the package for her together and took the effort to help. Maybe that was all that was needed.
Proves you're a wonderful human being.
