OK in the 1st day take foul and taamia as breakfast then go to the Egyptian museum ( see the interesting things 1st like Tutankhamon collection ,jewelry, Mummies,Sculpture collection , funerary collection) and this is the official site of the museum you can find a map for the museum

    http://www.egyptianmuseum.gov.eg/home.html.

this tour could last till 5 pm

for launch you could order koshari , molokhia, mahshi or

    mombar

at night go to Cairo tower you could see amazing view from it's roof or you could take a Nile cruse.

the 2nd day go to the pyramids you can see inside it ,riding horses and camels.after that you should visit Khan El Khalili

    The food is pretty normal.

Pyramids, Sphinx, Cairo Museum, Saqqara, and Memphis.

Forget the Mosque and the Bazaar. The bazaar is all fake stuff, and is a rip-off. Plus you will get pestered by all the young boys.

If you pay to go inside the Great Pyramid, be prepared. It is VERY hot and dark inside. Take a small flashlight and a personal electric fan. No cameras are allowed inside. But it is so cool to go inside!

Personally, I would go to Luxor instead of Cairo. Much better things to see there!

I was in Cairo a few years ago, and it was a very memorable trip. If you only have a couple of days, I would make sure you see the Pyramids in Giza, one of Cairo's suburbs, they are just a tremendous experience (not so much the waiting in line and walking inside them, but definately the awe-inspiring beauty of them as you get closer to them) and the other thing I would make sure to see is the Egyptian Museum, you could walk around there all day, but specifically King Tut's mask. Enjoy your trip!!

Dane gave a good answer. I like to add to it a Nile cruise for 2 hours including dinner in one of the large boats, you will hear Egyptian music which is lively. Also go to the sound and light show in the evening at the pyramids. It is a show that lasts for one hour. If you have time go to the pharaonic village which is at an island in the Nile, you will watch imitations of activities of the ancient Egyptians and tombs.
