U.S. Government to Release New Dollar Coins and In God we trust is gone... Is this true?
I got an E-mail with this and a picture of the new coin.
Please politely refuse if given one of these new coins and ask for a paper bill instead.

NO ITS NOT TRUE!, In order to facilitate larger portraits of our past Presidents on the Obverse of the coin, some traditional markings have been moved onto the edge with a new side engraving technique. Around the edge of the coin you will find: The Mint Mark, The Mint Year, IN GOD WE TRUST, and E PLURIBUS UNUM.
The only truth to that email would be if you got one of the approximately 200 coins from the Washington Dollar that was minted in Philadelphia and didn't get engraved and didn't get caught by Quality Control Inspectors. If you get one of these, overlook the absence of the above markings and count your blessings, because each of those 200 coins are worth several thousand dollars, and I'm sure that value will go up.

They didn't remove the In God We Trust, it's on the edge, along with E. Plurbus Unum and the date and mint mark. If it is not on the edge it's a rare "godless" error Washington Dollar, the highest I've seen those selling for is $1,800. To all you people who don't believe In God We Trust should be on US coins or currency because it is "unconstitutional," the Constitution clearly states that the US Government SHOULD promote belief in religion, BUT not any one religion. Now, do Jews believe in a god, do Muslims believe in a god, do Hindus believe in a god? YES, all religions believe in an all powerful being/s that are classified as a god. SO yes indeed In God We Trust is constitutional, SO QUIT WHINING!

Yes its true... Just the fact that their are people who doesn't believe in god and people have been complaining. Since this country wants to be loved by everybody the government has decided to remove "In god we trust". I'm really glad that they removed it because then people can't really say much anymore...The US currency is now pretty much Generic people shouldn't hate it. Then again this whole world is screwed up.. I own a few of them and I love it. I will not refuse MY CHANGE for no one. I say we shall keep it.

Perhaps you should familiarize yourself with the history of the motto and see that it wasn't always there (link is below). The question really is, why are you in such a tizzy about what gets printed on your money? Is it not spendable unless God approves your financial decisions? Or does God's name on the money help you ignore all the blood covering it?

I believe it is on the edge.
Note to a poster above: the Founding Fathers were largely Deists and Freethinkers. They weren't born-again Christians.

Dear
Johnny Donzoe
It is only because this great nation was founded by principled, Christian people, who understood the immutable power of God that you are even able to speak out.
God isn't divisive people are. You are a perfect example of what I mean.

that would be awesome.
this is supposed to be "One nation, indivisible"
add god into the equation and you get these little groups that are all divided up and hate each other.
