Is "In God We Trust" truly excluded from the new gold dollars?
I've received the same e-mail several times today telling me not to accept the new gold George Washington dollar because "In God We Trust" had been left off of the coins completely. I know some new coin was recently released with that written on the edge of the coin. Does anyone know about this one? I haven't seen any in person, so cannot verify this. Thanks for your help!
I didn't think they would take that off of the coins! I have made sure to send this information to the people who sent me the goofy e-mails about not using the coins . . . nothing like dispelling ignorance & shedding light on a subject, huh?! Thanks so much!!!
For "Just the 2 of us" - the coins are being released in the Presidential order in which they served; former President Nixon has not been minted yet - not by the government mint, anyway. As for the rest of your rant; what does that have to do with my question? I am quite sure you could have found another forum to dump in. Have a nice day.

David is correct, "In God We Trust" is printed on the coin's reed. You can see it at the US Mint's website, link below.

No pun intended, but people on both side of the coin need a hobby. There are too many people bitching about things that do not matter. No matter what religion you are, you worship a God. So, I do not know why political correctness has to mess with that. "In God we trust" is a valid statement. Every athiest I know has absolutely no problem with any reference to god in society, but some people that worship in different ways (which is OK!) need something to ***** about. On the other hand, our governement should tell the people bitching to deal with it and find something else to do. Too much time gets wasted on both sides dealing with miniscule problems like this.

I have a "2000" gold coin and it does have "In god we trust" on it but the new gold coin with Nixon on it does NOT have "In God we Trust" on it. Boy you americans are really being lead around by the nose by those Arabs. They run your gas stations, corner stores, they do your driving tests for the government and guess what, the governments of canada and usa sold the driving test centres to the Fuuuuuuu Arabs. When do you change USA and what do you change it to?
Source(s): How stupid can the governments of canada and usa get? They are screwing their own people and really don't care. - Anonymous1 decade ago
Site below will give you more details. Funny the Mint keeps trying and trying to get us away from paper but it just never seems to work lol Got to give them an A for effort though.

They have to put it on the coins... or God will strike them down.
______
I really do have to wonder why it's so important to you that God be mentioned on your money. To me it's an admission that money means far too much to you, supposedly a spiritual person.
something about 'a camel through the eye of a needle...'
but then, what do I know? I actually think that the money you give to your church doesn't have percentage earmarked to God. Silly me.
_____
please, more thumbs down. I love to offend people who pretend to be religious, but seem to think that mentioning god on money is really important...
try reading your Bible a little more closely. Pay particular attention to the teachings of your Christ.
You may be surprised he didn't think as you do.
